The last 2 weeks have been so busy for us with special events and regular clients all choosing to travel at the same time. We closed out a week of Transportation at THE PLAYERS Championship event yesterday and we must say that whiles it’s been hard to keep up with all of the recent requests for transportation, our team continues to show out and show up when we’re needed. So I wanted to take a moment to thank our current and loyal clients for bearing with us through these growing pains and thank those that trusted in us to deliver as well as helped make the last 2 weeks such a success. muv, East Coast Transportation, Florida Gateway College, Rebecca Golden, Rob Chapman, Heather M Stephens, Bill Lockwood, David Mahoney, Rebecca Fowler, Chris Hetrick, Brian Duncan, Victor Fundora, Alura Desiree Dye, Trenton Kreienheder. We can help you skip the checkpoint in style 😃

Sheriff Clovis Watson Jr., and the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Florida Highway Patrol, Gainesville Police Department, Alachua Police Department, and the University of Florida Police Department announce a cooperative Sobriety Checkpoint. Impaired motorists still present a significant safety risk to the motoring, as well as the pedestrian public. To combat this threat, the cooperating agencies will conduct a Sobriety Checkpoint on March 19th, 2021, from 7 p.m. until 3 a.m., on SW 13th Street/US 441.

The primary goal of this checkpoint is to detect and apprehend Impaired/intoxicated drivers who pose an immediate threat to the safety of the general public. Secondly, this operation will focus on the detection of improper or unsafe vehicle violations, seat belt, and child restraint violations, driving while license suspended or revoked, and any other violation under Florida State Law.

Sobriety Checkpoints and saturation details provide a visible deterrent for those who violate laws and increase the safety of the motoring public.

UF Health - Right here in Gainesville. Great Work!

After providing lifesaving care to COVID-19 patients, Jill Holker, a frontline ICU nurse from Utah became a patient herself. The virus caused so much damage to the young, healthy runner’s lungs that she required a double-lung transplant. Jill was brought to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville for a chance to save her life. On Friday, after months in Shands hospital and post-operative rehab, Jill is finally going home.

"There was a handful of people who were fighting for me," Holker said. "Truly, sincerely fighting for me. And it was staff—people that never knew me."

Jill is one of 12 COVID-19 patients who have received new lungs from UF Health’s nationally recognized lung transplant team in recent months. When it seems like all hope is lost, patients come to UF Health from across the country looking for a miracle.

How About a Mix of Top Golf and Limo Fun?

We are toying with the idea of putting together a bi-weekly trip to Top Golf. It would be a per person rate for transportation and you could reserve in large groups or travel by yourself and meet new people with similar interests. What do you think? Would you go? Would you be a regular? Would your friends go? Let us know what you think. The more people that are interested the more likely we are to put this idea into action.

We don't really know what the rates would be yet, but we're thinking between $60 and $100 per person depending on if we offer a combo that includes travel, Top Golf and food or any combination of those.
