Exciting news! If you like latkes, you will love hamantaschen, the triangle fruit-filled pastries we eat at Purim. On March 24 at 3 pm join the inaugural Hamantasch-Run 5K through the heart of Arlington, MA, starting at the town hall and ending at the Masonic Temple. Try hamantaschen at the finish line! Costumes encouraged!

Down to the last few days to pre-register!!! $20/runner and no price increase for race day registration, but it greatly helps knowing how many hot latkes we need! There will be activities for kids, so make it a family affair. The forecast looks perfect for running, but it will rain chocolate!!!

There is no price increase for registering race day, but we can only take cash at the door! $20/runner

Bibs and shirts can be picked up in advance between 4 and 7 pm Saturday, for those who like. Doors open Sunday at 8 am. 44 Burrill Street

There is off-street parking in the area and the train station is a half mile down the road.

There are three portapotties outside and three bathrooms inside, at the back of the synagogue and downstairs.

There will be a tent. Children’s activities will be indoors, until chocolate rains from the sky. 🪙

Run, jog, walk, push or dance for 5K!

There will be klezmer music. There will be donuts. There will be latkes!!!

It's time to register for the Chanukah Run-a-Latke 5K, this year at 10 am on December 18, 2022, 44 Burrill Street in Swampscott! $20 a runner! Warm up to live klezmer music before racing a flat, scenic loop along the shoreline, with Boston's skyline in the distance. The scent of hot latkes will propel you to the finish line, where you can eat and dance and celebrate the first night of Chanukah! This is a fun and very convenient race! Lots of parking in the area and at the train station a half mile from the starting line. Porta-a-potties and bathrooms available. Racers, walkers and dogs welcome. Stroller and kid friendly! $20/runner

The entry fee has been lowered this year to $20/runner thanks to a generous sponsorship! This race is in a very convenient location, with the train and parking lots half a mile from the start. The forecast looks sunny and we are expecting a great turnout tomorrow! Registration opens at 9 am at 44 Burrill Street, where the flat, scenic 5K loop along the shoreline begins at 11 am. Parking is available on nearby streets and at the train station a half mile down the road. There are port-a-potties and indoor bathrooms. Enjoy latkes and dance to live klezmer music at the finish line! We will also light the first candle of Chanukah!
