Congratulations to HS boys on a great season! I know it may hurt not finishing season they way you wanted it to but you guys have made great improvements from the start of the season. Keep your heads up and be ready for next year.

I would also like to congratulate Lincoln Jones and Jason McClure. Lincoln and Jason extended their season by finishing 4th and 5th.

On February 3rd the HS team traveled to Chippewa to compete in the Chippewa Invitational. It was a tough tournament the boys saw great competition. Improvements have been made by everyone on the team.
Top wrestlers were:
Jason McClure went 2-2 and placed 3rd with 2 pins
Ethan Miller went 2-2 with 2 pins
Lincoln Jones went 3-2 with 3 pins
C**t McCoy went 2-3 with 2 pins

The boys will be competing at the Crestview JV Tournament on the 10th.

The Junior High WCAL Championship was yesterday we finished 7th as a team and we had 6 placers.
92: Cam McCoy finished 2nd
104: Carter Barrett finished 4th
110: Drew Daugherty finished 3rd
134: Reed Mager finished 2nd
160: Gannon Madsen finished 2nd
205: Landon Shaad finished 3rd

The boys had a great season a lot of great victories and some stinging defeats. I know we had a lot of first year wrestlers but they developed into great wrestlers and are very coachable. The boys didn’t shy away from the competition, always went out and wrestled hard. Great job boys on a great season thank you for the great memories and I look forward to seeing what you do next year!

Tough weekend for the JH boys.
we finished 10th out of 15 teams.
Placing were
1st: Drew Daugherty
3rd: Carter Barrett
5th: Ethan Myers, Tyler Coleman, Lucas Tallmadge, and Gannon Madsen.

Tough day for the JH boys yesterday. As a team we finished 16th out of 24 teams. The boys saw great competition yesterday.
Placing for the team were
Drew Daugherty at 4th place
Reed Mager placing 6th
Carter Barrett had a fantastic day finishing 1st place by pinning all of his kids.
Great improvements by everyone!

The HS team had a great day that saw great improvements from everyone. The team had six placers.
Those placers were:
Lincoln Jones finishing 2nd
Jason McClure, Reed Twinning, Ethan Miller, and Landon Thomas finishing 5th
Gavin Casdorph finishing 6th
Great job boys keep improving and working hard.

Another great day for the JH team. We walked out of Norwayne finishing 3rd out of 16 teams.
Placers were:
2nd: Cam McCoy and Bentley Denny
3rd: Ethan Myers and Carter Barrett
4th:Reed Mager, Gannon Madsen, and Corbin deter
5th: Lucas Tallmadge
6th: Troy Weber
Great work boys keep improving!

Two tournaments left before conference the boys will be wrestling at South Central on the 13th and New London on the 20th.

Another great day for the Junior High wrestling team. We wrestled in a 21 team tournament and walked out finishing 8th.
Our top 5 placers were:

Heath MS Invitational results
These boys did amazing yesterday. They wrestled so hard and never gave up. Rosalynn our mat stat did fantastic work saving us a couple wins.
1st-Cam McCoy
2nd-Bently Denny and Gannon Madsen
3rd-Drew Daugherty, Derek Coleman, and Reed Mager
4th-Ethan Myers, and Corbin Deter
6th- Landon Shaad and Troy Weber
Tyler Coleman, Lucas Tallmadge, and Carter Barrett may not have placed but they had great victories!
Because of how everyone did we were able to walk out of Heath as the 4th place team out of 11 teams.
I am very excited to see how the rest of the season unfolds. Great job guys very proud of you!

First and foremost, I want to thank everyone who helped before, during, and after the tournament.
The boys did a fantastic job finishing 10th out of 12 teams working hard and not giving up on the mat.
This year’s placers at The Austin Smiley Tournament are as follows.
At 113-pound weight class, Jason McClure finished 3rd in his first High School tournament
In the 150-pound weight class, Ethan Miller finished 6th
At 165-pound weight class, Lincoln Jones finished 5th
At 190-pound weight class, C**t McCoy finished 6th in his first High School tournament
In the 285-pound weight class, Grayson Allis finished 6th
