After a delay, returning to the tour…
The “Thank You” portion.

As previously promised, we’ll set the tone and confirm mid-bourbon status. Since I only actually make the posts a few times a year, buckle up cuz Papa got a pulpit.

Extemporaneous, so things and people will get left out, please refer to previous apology post.

1. Every single one of you reading this. We started several years ago with a license and a dream. Thanks for every share, like, comment over coffee, and referral to a friend. You made “slow organic growth” go out the window a LOOONG time ago.

2. Every single customer. Don’t care if you bought a water or gave us the privilege of cooking for your wedding. Thanks for putting up with the ambiguity and rough edges which make us who we are.

If you don’t get that, you just don’t get that. And you won’t.

3. Staff. Holy wowza these people! “Hey you want to run around like a crazy person on fire for a few hours while a big bald guy yells at you?” They said “yup, let’s go.”
My closest friends and best found family a guy could ask for. You’re the reason my dreams come true and I would do anything for each of you. You put up with the chaos with smiles despite me doing payroll late and calling you a dingus.

Thank you for stepping up to new challenges, putting up with the crazy, every suggestion, every criticism, every single moment. Thanks for being there both within and outside the realm of the company.

You are the reason I’m here and we’re growing daily.

4. James Vnuk: the Obi to my Luke. Thank you for the laughs, the learning and the guidance.

5. Leadership: Lori, Cori, Deana. Thank you for every moment good and bad, the arguments, apologies, hugs, and helping hands.

6. Ahhh Kevin Peterson. The true backbone of this entire affair. Business partner, best friend, BWIL, and PB. 49 was never a bigger number. Thanks for it all.

A lot said here between the lines. If you don’t get it, you just won’t get it. If you do get it, I hope for the opportunity and eloquence to one day adequately express my gratitude.

And now, post bourbon, to all of you, “thank you.”

Welp it’s time. The RATTCAB (yeah I know, great name, horrible acronym) annual thank you & apology tour. Strap in, this’ll be a long one.

To everyone that contacted us and we never got back to you. I apologize.

And if you said “it only takes a minute to respond…” you’re right.
Didn’t have it.
Honestly.
Bottomest cockles of my heart. Honest and for true.
While I regret every missed opportunity to develop and foster new client relationships, the things that were (sometimes literally) on fire IN THAT MOMENT and the clients we were working for IN THAT MOMENT are the most cherished and critical thing for us.

To the guy I cut off in July while hauling Betty home (London road onto I-35), sorry dude. However, to your credit, that finger was exceptionally long and straight. Keep on keeping on. Sorry your day sucked for a moment.

Thank you… besides a quick one to the ellipsis which carries my written conversation tone, let’s save that for a second installment. Babka’s ready and gotta deliver. Besides, it’ll be a better narrative mid-bourbon.
