KATIE REX // TOMORROW 03/25

To New York City’s dance floors, the name Katie Rex, is a familiar mainstay. With roots beginning in the Philadelphia rave scene, her passion for the underground has crossed genre boundaries and culminated into an in-depth knowledge of music and cultural trends after dark. Rex’s sets fuse industrial sonic landscapes with ceiling busting rave anthems and the harsher sides of techno. She's shared the bill with top artists across genres, staying true to her passion for progressive sounds.

Rex’s infamous event series turned multifaceted lifestyle platform, BOUND, has received international acclaim with features from VOGUE, The New York Times, Vice, Resident Advisor, and many more. Marrying the celebration s*x work and need for safer spaces for marginilized bodies headonistic enjoyment, BOUND has reached an audience that transcends any one location. They’ve hosted events outside of Brooklyn in Miami, Los Angeles, & Detroit. In February 2018 Rex released with first ever global fetishwear guide through BOUND. In December 2019 BOUND announced itself as a record label, specializing in special projects. The first release (following an inaugural compilation in January 2019) is a remix package for fka FEE LION (now Panterah) with tracks from Silent Servant, Minimal Violence, Kontravoid, & Multiple Man.

COYU is one of the most referenced and respected personalities on the techno scene. Fifteen years of an unstoppable DJ career behind the mixer speaks for him. No less appreciated since he founded his cat empire in 2008, Suara, he’s been known to be the inspiration for many because of what he’s achieved, directing a brand that shows no signs of slowing down. What started off as a record label (until this day it’s still one of the most important labels for techno and underground club sounds, as you will be able to see reflected on main charts) is now a symbol for cat and dance music lovers. Coyu directs with great precision a brand that because of such a demand is also a brand of clothes (Suara Store, with a physical store in Barcelona) and a non-lucrative organization that loves and helps street cats (Suara Foundation).

CARAVEL

Rotterdam-based and Lyon raised artist Caravel built her musical expertise through various instruments and genres.
Her productions are a distinctive combination of industrial, melodic, and hard Techno. The French artist’s key performances at Le Sucre (Lyon), Blackworks (Madrid), BASIS (Utrecht), HÖR, and intense warehouse raves in Paris allowed her to steadily build her profile with enormous prospects for 2022.

TONALTHEORY

[Marissa and Rae] has been signified by bending boundaries between hard-hitting techno elements and mesmerizing synths
and atmospheric melodies.
They strive to merge the worlds as they incorporate their classical background in to their
newer productions as they continue to develop their sounds and conquer the unexpected
rollercoaster of emotions as it captures the story of
“where we were, where we are, and where we want to be.”
They have played support for some of the biggest names in the industry of
both techno and trance alike including Dubfire, Alan Fitzpatrick, Nicole Moudaber,
Green Velvet, Laidback Luke, Sharam, Victor Calderone, John Askew, Greg Downey,
David Rust & Fehrplay.
The duo also are label owners of Undertone on the east coast which focuses on
techno and bending genre lines.
They are Synthesis residents and
host monthly parties for upand coming talent of
underground music as Decibel Collective.

Parfait got her start mixing at alternative LGBT+ community parties. Her career took a new turn when she became a resident of Possession, a collective she co-founded so she wouldn't have to choose between the music she likes to play and the parties she likes to attend any more.
With the rise of the collective over the years, she made a name for herself on the techno scene. In 2019, she did a livestream for Boiler Room and Possession which marked the start of her international reputation. Parfait is now a key figure in the new generation of DJs who count, and who fight to defend the spirit of techno parties in free hangars and warehouses.
