We have had an update from Liverpool Women's Charity to let us know how our fundraising has helped to fund various projects within the hospital.
As you can see, the money you helped us to raise is being put to good use.
Thank you 💙💙
NICU - £10,688 – the Donation has enabled the purchase of a secure messaging service for our Neonatal families - allowing the clinicians to provide a daily video update on baby’s progress.
We have also refurbished the parent’s quiet room on Neonatal, as this room needed some care and attention to make it a comfortable and welcome space for the families. New furniture is now on order.
The Honeysuckle team and the Bereavement Suite Appeal - £6000 – The gift has gone to the costs of putting the peer support sessions on and the bereavement suite appeal – which we closed following Strictly 2024. So, we now have the funds to be able to complete the work, which comprises of 3 rooms on gynae ward and 1 room on delivery.
Honeysuckle FC - £286.32. This donation has been used for some of the refreshments and some of the consumables such as bibs for the team
FMU - Preterm Clinic and Twin Clinic - £1250 – we will hopefully get the project identified soon.
Rainbow Clinic - £500. We’ve had a discussion around this and are looking at using it towards purchasing Memory wallets.
‘Mama academy have launched new wallets, similar to the current pregnancy and wellbeing passports, but are specific to families going through baby loss and families that go onto have further pregnancies'.
Information could include:
Support Resources
Physical recovery
Emotional wellbeing
Investigations
How to tell others
What to expect when they are attending the hospital
Memory making
Peer support
When to call 999
And tips for managing anxiety and further support in the rainbow wallets for families in subsequent pregnancies.
The Hewitt Fertility Centre - £1000 – As soon as they have decided I will confirm with you.
