On Wednesday this week some members enjoyed NAFAS Home Counties Members Day at Runnymede, the morning speaker Brenda Eyres took us through a very interesting history of hats followed by a delicious buffet lunch and wonderful floral demonstration from Lee Berrill ‘ Summer Daze’ much enjoyed by all, a few photos from the day.

We still have tickets available for the NAFAS Home Counties Members day on 26th June.

Come and join us for a great day out at Runnymeade Hall! Plenty of flowers, fun and friendship. Doors open at 10.15, Tickets are £28 and include buffet lunch, a talk in the morning and demonstration by Lee Burrell in the afternoon.
We need to support these events, otherwise NAFAS Home Counties won’t offer to hold these sort of things locally to us and we would have to travel up to Hertfordshire to enjoy these events.

Thank you to those who registered their interest in the coach trip to The Hidden Gardens of Bury on 30th June!

Price - £36 includes:- Coach, drivers gratuity and entry to the gardens.

*Money must be paid at the next meeting on 10th June please*

‘Bury St Edmunds has many fine and historic buildings, but Hidden Gardens gives people the chance to discover the secret patios, lawns, borders, vegetable gardens, greenhouses and other features behind their facades and high walls.
All the gardens are in the town centre and within walking distance of each other, although with about 30 different ones to see you may want to concentrate on a handful and take a break to soak up the garden party atmosphere and enjoy the refreshments on offer.
Some of these gardens have been tended for many generations, while others are only now coming to maturity or are still very new. Be prepared to be surprised and inspired’

What a great night we had on Monday. Flowers, fun and friendship with Robin White. A fish I chip supper, sales table and a Charity Raffle. Many thanks to all who organised and helped in any way. We hope to see you at Runnymede in June. Happy flower arranging.

Our meeting on 8th April is our annual Open Evening (with fish & chip supper) and we will be having a charity raffle in aid of Little Havens Hospice. If you have anything you would like donate for raffle prizes, could you please bring them along to our March meeting on Monday 11th. Thank you!

During April Eastwood Floral Art Group - Affiliated to NAFAS Home Counties held an afternoon tea celebration organised and made by the commiteee. Afterwards we thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful demonstration from David Thomson. All the arrangements were raffled off at the end of the demo to the delight of the winners!

It was our Mini Open Evening last night at Eastwood Community Cenntre.
Susan Horne was our special guest demonstrator producing stunning flower arrangements of 'Lets celebrate'.
A lovely fish and chip supper was supplied by Eastwood Fish Bar for 60 guests.
