Reminder 📣 It's Okay Not to Be Okay 😢
With World Mental Health Day coming up tomorrow, I wanted to share something close to my heart...
It's high time we normalize talking about it!
While it feels like mental health is getting more spotlight nowadays, it still pales in comparison to how freely we chat about our physical appearances.
The deep conversations about our inner struggles often take a backseat, hidden away as if they're topics too taboo to touch.
Why is this?
Fear of judgment, the stigma of being branded "crazy" for women and "weak" for men — these age-old stereotypes force many of us to keep our struggles under lock and key.
Think for a moment about your own mental health — the thoughts and fears you've kept silent. The apprehension, the shame, feeling judged.
I know the feelings and have been there myself. Just about everyone I know has struggled with their mental health — it's normal.
I'm sure I don't have to tell you, but we're navigating through some incredibly tough times. And now, more than ever, we need tools and resources to support our mental health.
Sometimes, all it takes is a gentle reminder that it's ok not to be ok.
Sometimes, we need practices and tools to move energy through our bodies and release what's not serving us.
And one way to do that is JourneyDance™!
Yes, JourneyDance™, the somatic movement practice you hear me rave about all the time, can support your mental health.
Moving, grooving, sounding, expressing, releasing, and connecting with your breath can be incredibly therapeutic in managing sadness, depression, anger, worry, fear, feeling stuck — the list goes on...
JourneyDance™ allows us to shift and lift the burdens we carry. It brings us back to joy and connects us to our highest/truest selves.
So, come JourneyDance™ with us tomorrow (10/10, 7-8:15pm ET).
Gift yourself 75 min. to elevate your vibration, leaving you feeling more hopeful, aware, and alive. Afterward, we'll share in community.
No steps. No judgment. Come as you are. You can even turn your camera off after you say hello.
