Summer gathering; sometimes I like shadows as much as the form. This caught my eye waiting to deliver to a friend. Summer birthdays and sunshine remind me it’s July!

It was a real pleasure to exhibit with a great collective of local artists. Everyone was very supportive and friendly. The gallery is a lovely space and The Plot Cafe looked after us very well. Thanks to those that came and purchased or admired. I enjoyed meeting people and making good contacts. .taverner.art .art

Lots of photos of beautiful people and flowers from .official today. After three workshops I’m tired but I met absolutely lovely people and had a great day. We had the luxury of a cosy tent and despite the rain everyone was having fun. I felt very honoured to help people make crowns which they wore or wrapped up for a sunnier occasion. Thanks to for great organisation and to the talented participants.
There are lots of photos but it’s worth looking at their smiles and work.

While I relax in Cornwall this week I’m aware that .official ticket holders will want to plan their day. You can come and make a floral crown with me; if you book your place with ! I gather it’s a crazy hat theme! Ours will be floral but can be individual and obviously wearing something on your head will be in fashion that day! Get ahead and book your place to avoid disappointment. No experience needed. We will use dried flowers, seed heads and grasses so if you take care of your crown it will keep! You can see beautiful Martha in a crown and then a selfie of me! You can join in if you are 14+. This is a community festival so the price is reflected in this. I’m doing this workshop for the community so I’d love to see you there. 🌸💕🌼

Garden views with I’ve left a bank to grow wild by the road that in the spring hosts daffodils and narcissus. I’ve been adding wild flower seed; it’s a dry bank so I’ve had to wait but this year the wild flowers or at least the poppies have taken up on the offer along with self seeded and and . It’s given us and I think passes by lots of pleasure. The other poppies are in one of my cuttings beds and look so showy against an evening sky. Is it just me or does everyone else have self seeded poppies all everywhere this year? Anyway I’m enjoying them!

A beautiful May day.
A little update on the meadow, with dancing and pockets of under the trees. I have lots of under tree planting, as well as the meadow and have further areas in the garden too. Some looking more wild than others!!
I’m spending precious time with family from Australia this month but also planning weddings and getting the grown from seed flowers and dahlias tubers into the ground! By the way I’ve had little progress difference from my potted up tubers to the ones coming up that have over wintered. However; this year I did loose tubers to the frost in the shed I think they were too wet and got cold before they’d had a chance to fully dry out. There’s always challenges, maybe this year more than others? How are you getting on?

Dried flower posies for bridesmaids. Flowers grown and gathered, hung to dry over winter and used to create textured, muted posies with pops of colour as was the wish of the bride. These were lovely to put together, there were 5 in total. Each individually made to be kept by the bridesmaids afterwards. Another way we can use .

May has arrived with and the hammock! It’s definitely my favourite time of year with fresh greens and flowers emerging.
I’m working on wedding flowers which I’ll be able to show you soon.
I also have more tulips if you’re local and want some for the weekend. They aren’t red, white and blue though! What’s your favourite season?

A host of golden always add cheer to my garden bank and get admired by passers by in March! I have posted a story about a couple of morning workshops for the end of the month just before the Easter holidays! You can join me at home to make a moss rich wreath with bulbs, plants, willow, and foliage. These look fabulous on a door and also on a table for Easter filled with eggs.
I’m taking orders for Easter springs wreaths, spring posies and Easter baskets that can be delivered locally. Please DM me or call to order.

Thursday 2nd December. Three Storeys Nailsworth. Floristry Day. Wreath Making and Table Centre. In the morning after school drop, your dog walk or whatever your first chore of the day is come and have a coffee ☕️ at The Plot Cafe at 9.30 together; then we will be a small group creating in the beautiful room next door. You can work at your own pace as I’m there to help you. We have the room for the day but I imagine starting the session at 10am which is a revised time but allows for a more relaxed morning . This is a day to come and immerse yourself in creativity and festive spirit. Knowing you’ll leave with beautiful items that will immediately add cheer to your home. Plus you’ll have 2 x ✅ off your to do list. Three in fact as the most important one is about having some “You time”! 🤗
This workshop is open to everyone with no previous experience required. We have the luxury of a beautiful room for a whole day so you can take breaks, and we will have a lunch break so you can pop out if you wish to. We will work with traditional wreath making materials but also dried florals from my garden, foraged and garden greenery. You can make a wreath that is unique to you. In the photos I have shown you some mixed dried and fresh florals which end up drying beautifully together. Some of last years wreaths were looking amazing when I took them down to add a fresh moss wreath at Easter! ✨🤩 Have a think in advance if you’d like to make a table centre in the afternoon or a mantle piece item and what those dimensions are. I’d really love to see you for a festive day with a few seasonal treats to keep you going and a coffee ☕️ on arrival. A full day £100, £65 wreath making in the morning 9.30am for a coffee and 10am start, £35 for the afternoon afternoon session making a table centre piece with candles from 1pm until you finish! www.threestoreys.co.uk You can DM me enquiries or email [email protected]
