Behind the scenes at The Celebrant Effect.

When we aren't marrying our loved up couples, we're all busy in other ways:

Cath is a Mumma Bear - not only to her human family, but also to her fur-family. She is the guru of making everyone feel like family.

Shosh is not only a mum to her two beautiful kids, but also enjoys cosplay - often photographed by her husband Mick .

Rosie runs cheesemaking workshops in Kangaroo Valley with Kathy as part of Valley Cheesemakers.

Flower choices - does it matter if it's Autumn?

There are some preferred flowers and colours in each of the seasons, and while all of those beautiful colours in the Autumn palette are great - the flowers in those colours may not be your 'thing'.

While we recommend using what's in season and local (less environmental impact) we also recommend going with the flowers (and their colours) of your choice.

You don't have to follow the trends - do what is right for you as a couple on your day!

Go with something different!

A Gelato Bike with a sexy scooper to serve all your guests for dessert…

A professional chaperone for your Furbaby Brutus, so he can be there with you on your big day… be walked fed and put to bed…

Have a spectacular fireworks display for all your guests to remember and go ‘Oooooh… Ahhhhh’ to…

Have a Petting Zoo rock up to cocktail hour for all your guests to cuddle…

Or maybe it is arriving in a split screen Kombi or Cadillac convertible.

Whatever you plan for your big day… make it you, make it big and make it an element to your wedding that will have everyone saying… ‘That was sooo them!’

2022 NEW TRADITIONS: Bring back the culture!!

So many couples are not sticking to the run of the mill traditional ceremony that they THINK they have to have. As celebrants, we love nothing more than jumping right on in to celebrate your ceremony your way.

If that means your wedding crew break out into the Haka, you perform a tea ceremony, you share a whiskey together from a Scottish Quaich Cup or you both stand on a family woven Tongan grass mat as you exchange vows… then we at The Celebrant Effect are more than willing to write your ceremony to include your culture. It’s what we love!!!

2022 NEW TRADITIONS:
No more ‘Give aways!’

We aren’t getting married back in the 1600’s where a father would, ‘Give his daughter away…’ No more do we see the fathers trade his daughter for a goat, a sack of potatoes and his prized rooster…. 😬

That was all very well back in the day… but times they are a changing thank goodness. There is no dowry handed over to the husband, as if you haven’t noted… us gals are pretty independent these days!!!

So, whether it be your mum or dad, or both… or grandparent, sibling, friend or furbaby… whoever walks down the aisle with you… is purely there to love you, support you, guide you and make sure you don’t do a runner!

So please don’t expect your celebrant to say… ‘Who gives this bride away???’ It just ain’t happening on our watch. 🥰

2022 NEW TRADITION: Start with a toast!

It’s nothing new to see champagne all lined up to hand out to your guests… but these days… many couples are welcoming their guests to the ceremony with a glass of bubbles to enjoy throughout the ceremony.

To kick start the ceremony, we can toast you both with everyone joining in.

Whether it be a Flash Mob toast where everyone joins in with us to surprise our couple…a toast from the parents… or as toast from your celebrant.

Whatever you choose, it is a lovely way to involve your guests and to let them know that the celebrations can begin when the ceremony starts.

OR

Have the champagne handed out when we sign the register… and a fresh glass is in your everyone’s hands ready for your celebrant to toast you all the happiness in the world before you both walk back down the aisle as all loved up and married.

Either way… CHEERS TO TOU BOTH!

Well no one ever said cocktails and champagne towers were new… but seriously… why would you have a wedding without these guys???? Caravan Bars are sooooo popular these days!

Freddy and his fricken awesome team at HENRY CLIVE CARAVAN BAR on the Sth Coast are the bomb when it comes to serving drinks at your WedFest.

They come with all the extras… the gorgeous van and styling, their break out bars, the margarita slushie machine (HELLO!), champagne towers, all the sexy garnishes for your cocktails and man to top it off their all know how to partayyyyyy!

So instead of serving beer and wine at your wedding gig… think about including some sexy mixologists as your entertainment and let your guests feel a bit spesh.

That is a no no on soooo many levels now! It’s not good for the birds or the poor couple finding it in all their crevices on the honeymoon 😬 Yes there are rose petals and ecofetti… but why not pop some corn and get your guests all corny as they toss happiness your way. NB: the birds don’t need it salted or buttered. They like it o’naturale!
