When it came time for him to pop the big question – Brendan was sneaky, not only did he have the ring 6 months in advance (which he’d sized perfectly on his pinky), but to throw her off the scent, he made Montana book their romantic night at the Mindil Beach Casino, and the dinner. Casually suggesting a trip down to the beach was cut short as the “garlic bread was almost there”, and there was no time like the present so he pulled the ring from his pocket and opened it. Wide eyed, Montana ripped it out of his hands and hid it from everyone around them. He’d got her this time!

Life has this truly organic way of aligning soulmates, and this is one of those stories too… Technically, both growing up in Ingham together at some point, even sharing a class of two, Caitlin and Jacob knew of each other, but that was about it… After all, Caitlin likes to remind Jacob that he was "much too nerdy and she, much too cool" for them to have been acquainted at the time; he wasn't a bad boy at high school, so she wasn't interested. However, fast forward to 2016 in FNQ party central, Cairns was hosting their annual Grass is Greener Festival, and it’s not just music in the air that fateful day…
The vows that these two had for each other were some of the most wholesome and heartfelt - like, you could FEEL the heart in them! Oh, what an absolute delight to marry C&J!

💍 Eliza & Arne
Almost 10 years to the day at the Regensburger Dult, a smaller, and better, (in Eliza’s opinion) version of Oktoberfest. Where an unknowing Arne, heading out to watch the German Football Cup Final, snagged a whole table for just him and his best man Chris, knowing full well that they’d be joined eventually by someone wanting to share such a prime spot! What he didn’t know at that moment was that he was about to meet the absolute love of his life, and future wife... Eliza, having recently moved to Germany as an au pair would also be attending the Dult, with a few of her new friends, although conversation was going to be tricky – they didn’t really like speaking English, and German was not her fluent tongue, yet. So, with about 10€ to her name, in search of a pint and some English conversation in a tent full of beer and cheer, she scoped a pair of gents who “looked friendly and young enough that at least one of them would have to speak English”, and sat down next to Arne, who, by this point was already a few beers in...
So naturally beer was a must when they officially tied the knot!

OMG this one was SO MUCH FUN!
Although they both had slightly different versions of how it started... Both Rhi and Amber, agree that it was love at first sight, or should I say swipe, up. Amber, surfing through Tik Tok, came across a “My Name, My Sign, My Fave Book, My Wine” (well maybe not the wine). And the charismatic Rhiannon had certainly caught her eye, so, being a generational detective, Amber quickly tracked her down on good old Instagram, “shooted her shot” with “Hi 🙂". Simple yet effective it would seem because they spent the next few days talking, friendly, as you do with a perfect stranger from Tik Tok. Jump to Jan 2022, the girls decided to take this “friendship” out of the digital world into the real world with a real time, live, in the flesh, IRL bowling date... And the rest is history
Cows, calves, sows and cowhide - this backway wedding was the epitome of joy, love and laughter!

Somewhere between 2 years- 3months and 2 years- 5months ago, Stones Corner held an event. A place full of possibilities, where 2 strangers might strike up a conversation, have a few laughs, and where the median age of attendees were closer to the age of retirement. So, what these two young hot things were doing there, I don’t know… but fate sure did.
He is her dream maker and she is the first girl his mother has approved of ever!
Not even the rain could dampen this beautiful union!

👇 👇 👇 I love my wholesome Celebrant community so much. A lot of emotions get tied up in what I do, and I care a whole lot about each one of my #couples that I'm #marrying (because let's face it - I wouldn't be marrying them if I didn't!) ❤️ 💙 💜 But sometimes, things things don't go to plan. And that's where community comes in Having recently moved to Brissy from the NT, I didn't have many local connections to my #celebrant community, which made it tricky to problem solve on short notice... Luckily, my community is bigger than #Brisbane, so I touched base with my #Darwin brainstrust and cele-mentor (BIG LOVE @marriedbymoo) and recommendations of trusted celes came forth. After I made (quite a few) phone calls to check availability and travel distances, I got hold of some fabulous humans over here in QLD, and we've problem solved! Together! It made my heart so warm to remind myself that even though being a Celebrant seems very independent , it's so much more with the community you build and trust behind you! For all my couples - I adore you! And will continue to make it my mission to ensure all bases are covered for your #wedding day! I'm in this boat too! And my dad is a fisherman, so I'm comfy on rocky seas 😉 And the humans that are drawn to this career are my kind, my tribe, my humans who LOVE love and adore making wedding days magic! I know that's why I do it!! Thank you so much to the amazing, wholesome celes and wedding vendor humans who helped me out of this bind and BIG BIG #LOVE to each of you!
