My favourite part about this job is the friends I make along the way, I got the most heartfelt message from a fan in Brazil who just so happened to be in Barcelona at the same time I was. I emailed her and her partner tickets as a surprise, and then in a magical turn of events, they ended up cutting my hair before the show!

Even with the language barrier we spoke about music, danced, sang, laughed, and pointed out the similarities between Brazilians and Panjabis, we spoke about tv shows, samba/ funk and they even gifted me some of their art! 😭

Life is a series of transactions, mostly through energy, most of mine through music. It’s so crazy that a video on the internet from last November has led me to experience these exact times and places.

Barcelona you were nothing short of magical, here’s to all the friends I met whilst out there and to all the friends I’ve made across the world this year! So grateful

They say nothing in life is free, well I’m changing that!!

After the success of our last workshops I’m so gassed to announce I’ll be doing another 2 months of FREE DJ workshops with Voices Radio

You'll be learning everything from sourcing music to using rekordbox and mixing just like I do! (wheelups included)

Alongside these workshops participants will have access to the Voices Radio studio space to practice for free, access to a mentoring chat where I'll be on hand to assist with any questions, and at the end of the workshops you'll get the opportunity to stream on the radio AND play a live set at the showcase, all whilst meeting like minded people who are at similar stages in their journey 😇

If you're a person of colour please apply using the link at the bottom of this post, resources like these are far and few between and I’d hate for you to feel like you've missed your chance to learn a new hobby! it's never too late and no ones finances should stop them from finding their passion 🧡

The last 4 months have flown by! It’s been incredible watching everyone come out of their shells, find their sound, blossom into such incredible artists and even go on to play their own gigs/ radio shows! ❤️

These lot made my Tuesday evenings magical, the vibes were immaculate and after each workshop I’d be running for my last train home, full of happiness and smiling like an idiot LOOOL 😂

There’s a lot of work that goes into uplifting, creating accessible opportunities, supporting the community from the ground up, and building a solid foundation of love and support for the next generation of artists to grow (it’s so easy to see when someone’s heart isn’t in it for the right reasons)

I’m constantly checking in with myself and asking ‘is what I’m doing with my time on this earth aligning with my purpose?’ I was put here to support, nurture, encourage, and create a safe space that others can thrive in, in particular those who are marginalised

Today the participants from this course have a whole takeover on Voices RADIO and to say I feel like a very proud mum would be an understatement! 😭🫶🏼

In the last session I gave everyone a thank you card that I’d written especially for them, full of encouragement, their strengths and some words they can look back on (if they ever need a friendly voice)

I’m so grateful that I was given the opportunity to facilitate these DJ workshops, special thanks to the incredible Two Tribes Brewing Co and Voices Radio!!

Keep your eyes peeled for more free workshops coming this Summer ❤️
