We have been experiencing issues with our water billing system. Many of you have noticed discrepancies over the last few months, and unfortunately we are currently working through another issue. You will receive a bill this month - however, it may be handwritten if the issue cannot be resolved by the end of the day today. We will extend/waive late fees depending on timeline of getting this worked out with the company the system was purchased from. Thank you for your patience!

It is with heavy hearts that the Mount Vernon Fire Department honors the life and service of Assistant Chief, Unit 303, from Livingston Fire & Rescue.

He has answered his final call, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, bravery, and leadership that will forever inspire those of us still on the line.

He wasn’t just a firefighter he was a brother to us all. His commitment to his community, his team, and the fire service set a standard we will strive to uphold. Whether in the heat of the moment or the good times at the firehouse, he left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.

Rest in peace, 303. Your watch is over.
We’ll take it from here .

We are currently aware of an incoming ice/ snow storm, which may bring freezing temperatures and hazardous conditions. We will provide a warming station located at the Livingston Gym for those who would be seeking warmth from this storm.
Please be aware that freezing rain and ice can create dangerous situations, including power outages and treacherous road conditions. We urge everyone to prepare accordingly and stay safe.
