Meet your instructors!

Darcy Ellarby lives in Lakeville Minnesota and has been drawing in the Zentangle Method since early 2017. She is a Certified Zentangle Instructor and teaches both online via Zoom and in person in the Minneapolis and St. Paul Minnesota metro area.

Nicole Roepke also lives in Minnesota and teaches locally and online around the world.

She is a practicing artist and technology professional with years of teaching experience. Nicole discovered Zentangle Method in 2013 and became a Certified Zentangle Teacher in 2020. Learn more about Nicole here: https://www.tanglingtime.com/

Nicole and Darcy have been close friends for more than 20 years and both are experienced in teaching and event organizing.

Tangled Up North 2022 will be held in the beautiful north woods of Minnesota at Camp Du Nord, just north of Ely on the edge of the Boundary Waters of Minnesota.

Don't be afraid to visit the north woods of Minnesota in the dead of winter! Whether you prefer to cozy up next to a wood burning fire with a cup of tea or venture outdoors to enjoy free use of snowshoes and cross country skis, we promise winter in the woods is a beautiful place to be.

We've rented two large lodges and will book the space in at only 2/3 capacity so there is plenty of room to spread out.

Are you ready come out of isolation and enjoy some extended quality time tangling with friends? We certainly are!

Good friends and fellow CZTs Darcy Ellarby and Nicole Roepke have teamed up to offer an IN PERSON Zentangle Retreat in the north woods near Ely MN this winter on Feb 4- 6th, 2022.

This three day weekend will be the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in learning new tangles and techniques, communing with the north woods, and making new friends!
