Sorry folks, owing to the pandemic and this beautiful island being locked down, we've cancelled this year's highlight of the Channel Islands social calendar....

In light of the ongoing pandemic crisis we have decided to reschedule this year’s Rocquaine Regatta from Saturday 25 July to a provisional Saturday 5 September.

Although there is a small possibility that we may be allowed to hold it in July, we are rapidly running out of time to organise it. There is also the strong possibility that social distancing rules will still be in place throughout July. Although, we would be able to modify our events to accommodate this, it would be impossible for us to ensure that those attending keep safe and abide by the rules.

However, we are very optimistic that we will be able to put on the Regatta in some form in early September. This will be subject to us obtaining the necessary permissions from the parish, the police and others. Even if we are successful in getting the relevant permissions, we will still cancel nearer the time if we consider it unsafe to go ahead. We will be contacting our suppliers, supporters, concession holders and the relevant authorities shortly to advise them of our change in plans.

We will do our utmost to put on this very special event at what we hope will be a time for celebration as we emerge from lockdown. To cancel now would be giving yet more disappointing news to our community, who we think will be delighted that at least one of the traditional summer shows and events may be going ahead.

Grand National - Grand Rocque Bistro
Liberation Day - Town
Viaer Marche - Saumarez Park

We will keep you updated with future events.
