We’re asking the government to realise that the events industry is important and urgently needs help to survive this crisis. We need extended funding for nightclubs, dance music events and festivals as part of the £1.57bn support package announced by the government for Britain's arts and culture sector to survive the hit from the pandemic. There are thousands of events companies up and down the country such as us, small and large, that desperately need help 🙏🏽

The government's solution “retrain and get other jobs” is absolutely shocking and soul disturbing. They have turned a blind eye to a whole industry by failing to provide specific support to our industry. If we are not allowed to put on large scale events, then support the businesses who have been faces of the industry, so we can start doing what we love the most again 💃🏻🕺🏽

The live music industry adds £4.5 billion to the UK economy and supports over 210,000 jobs. The industry has taken a massive hit from COVID-19 and will struggle to get back on its feet. We know this first hand at Notion LDN, and although we will be doing our very best to bring you safe spaces to dance to great music in, it is going to be a huge uphill battle.

We all need to stand together and show our support for the campaign to spotlight the challenges and potential solutions. We need to call on the government to protect events, festivals and venues as we risk losing the vast majority of these due to the impact of the pandemic.
