Many, many thanks to all those who attended MoTown ‘22 yesterday, it was a fantastic events with great acts, vendors, staff, volunteers and of course much love from the mini festival goers themselves.

Soul Junction!!!

Soul Junction is a brassy, sassy seven-piece Cumbrian Soul and Motown band, with male and female vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, trumpets and sax; together they play the very best Soul and Motown dance music. Their set includes songs by Otis Redding, Sam and Dave, Aretha Franklin, Dusty Springfield, Wilson Pickett, James Brown and Amy Winehouse …. in Soul Junction style. Classic Northern Soul numbers also add to the high energy dance party mix.

Soul Junction is in its fifth year and has already had huge success playing at festivals, pubs, clubs, and private events throughout the north of England and southern Scotland.

SO WHO ARE THE ACTS AT MOTOWN ON THE 16th JULY WE HEAR YOU ASK…?:

Two of the acts are Sweet Sensation and Scotty D:

Sweet Sensation are described as the funkiest band in town - a super smooth four-piece bringing you the very best in soul, motown, funk and disco. Featuring a gifted and charismatic front man that commands and defies any audience to sit still with his infectious enthusiasm and stunning vocal ability and deliver unforgettable songs performed to perfection from artistes such as Kool & The Gang, The Trammps, Bee Gees, The Temptations and many more.

Scotty "D" - The American Soul singer, was originally born in Atlanta, Georgia U.S.A. He began his career in the music business at the age of 12 playing guitar and vocals in his family gospel group. He has spent years performing as MR. SOUL HIMSELF!
