第四應用，缺少了其中一支主枝(副)。雖然缺少了，但並無影響整體的美感及完整性。
有些人，永遠只看到別人的缺點，這些人應該一生也不怎麼快樂。而有些人，懂得看出別人擁有什麼優點，這些人的心應該是美麗的。

臨近聖誕，向老師要了有聖誕氣氛的花材，老師給了「山歸來」。一粒粒紅色果子很可愛，但略嫌太細粒，紅色不夠出。這花材很難插，頭重身輕，很難控制方向。😟
來自肯亞的玫瑰很美，色澤特別。可惜拿回家不久便要棄掉，因為有很多花蟲。🐛
這次從枝雖有顧及四面，但忽略了中間。老師提醒從枝的玫瑰可放一朵在中間面向後方，不用整枝插在後方。

今次我整個插花過程都是自信滿滿，連一直較難掌握的從枝也插得比以往順利。完成後，老師也稱讚作品的大部份也插得很好，唯獨真枝應留意底面方向。他把原本的真枝底面倒轉後，整個作品更顯生氣勃勃。

從來都冇諗過自己會係藝術中心Arts Centre出現。第一次踏足就係欣賞各位花道老師既作品。真的驚嘆各位老師的創意及才華﹗究竟我呢個BB班將來有冇機會係呢度參展呢？🤔
我既老師係草月流界重要一員，功力自然深厚。佢既作品俾我既感覺係全場最有動感又帶有暗黑反差既作品，大家又估唔估到係邊幅呢？😉

學習的機會來了

昨天的作品，老師說很好，沒有地方需要修改。很高興得到老師的肯定與讚賞🥰
部分朋友說我的插花比之前進步了，但是我還是覺得每次仍有很大的進步空間。主要是從枝的分佈很難掌握。
熟練與天份同等重要，前者我可以控制，但後者究竟我有沒有？我搞不懂，三個字---迷惘中。。。

今天的作品色彩豐富，山梔子的外型充滿簡約美及線條美，它的果實亦很可愛，很適合用作真副兩主枝。銀葉金合歡的濃密細緻則補充了整個作品的完整性(而且它有種特別的清香🥰)。
對我來說，插三條主枝，大部份時間也不太難。但每逢要加入從枝，我便無所適從，無論多少、高矮、角度等都難以拿捏。就像這個作品(Before)，我覺得好像太多從枝，而且很凌亂，我花了很多時間改善都不太滿意。但對老師來說，他覺得沒太大問題，因此他沒作出太大修改，所以Before vs After沒太大分別。雖然這是開心的，但又令我覺得很難掌握標準。
老師說，插花沒有標準，除了基本花型要插對，其他的都是反映插花者當刻的情感及認知，唯有努力練習才能提高選材、方向感、美感等等的能力。
我要努力了﹗💪

經過一個多月既休息/沉澱，我決定再次開啟插花之路。在成為研究生三級的首兩堂，我似乎把學過的都給回老師，十分慚愧及沮喪😢
第一堂︰控枝太多。另把副枝的前後倒轉了，使其型態生硬。前輩笑說未經老師改良前像一張「反轉的椅子」。我想老師最初看見其實真的很汗顏吧﹗ 😩
第二堂︰老師說主副插得唔錯，但要注意不要把百合(控枝)的葉都去掉了，會令作品很空虛。
老師真有厚度，我仍需多多努力﹗ 💪

Ikebana Apple Project
近來接到了身在台灣的HKer兼草月流花道老師Billy Wong (FB: 椛期。一会 Cherish Blossom)一個很有意義的邀請，參與了一個名為Ikebana Apple Project的活動。這項活動是英國的草月流花道老師(IG: )，邀請了一班世界各地草月流花道家們透過花藝作品，表達對六月底時香港蘋果日報在香港/中國政府的國安法下被消失的感受。承蒙兩位老師不嫌棄，刊登了我的劣作。
言論自由可貴，期盼香港再有能拾回這種自由的一天。
It’s my great honour to have been invited to participate in the project highlighting Freedom of Speech in the wake of the closure of HK based pro-democracy newspaper Apple Daily News.

Comments from Sensei: It is important to identify and arrange the front side of the materials facing out. Although the Joshi already have many Eustoma, it is better to insert a few Buxus vulgaris to florish the bottom part.

老師評語︰插花要判辨花材的正面，並把它向前方展現。另外，雖然從枝已由很多洋桔梗組成，但也可以加少許雀舌黃楊，另整個作品更一致及豐富。

學了插花一段時間，雖然仍然是初哥，但幸運地得到身邊很多朋友的鼓勵及支持。
有朋友喜歡黃色乒乓菊，問我可否以此製作一份作品。就是他(可能)隨意的一句，我走進花墟。要找黃色乒乓菊不難，難的是要找一種陪襯的花材。對於初哥，平時上堂材料都是老師預備的，要自己找對的材料難度即時倍增。
幸好最後選擇的噴泉草，配上黃色乒乓菊，整體效果不錯。朋友滿意收貨(相only😂)之餘，給老師看相也說用噴泉草來陪襯不錯﹗✌️

13th lesson - Variation No. 1 Upright Style Nagaire
Material: Physocarpus amurensis, Eustoma
Comments from Sensei: If the Hikae and Joshi are too small, we can add more to fill up the space at the bottom. When we use more materials, we have to ensure the stem of them are smooth. Otherwise when we need to take out any to re-do, it will easily damage the other surroundings. Besides, the materials (mainly the Hikae's material) cannot be scattered apart, still need a focus (e.g. at the front).

老師評語︰當控枝及從枝的花材較細，可適量增加數量以填補空間。而加入花材時，應確保它們的枝幹平滑，以免要取出任何一枝時碰趺附近的花材。另外，即使增加數量，也要確保花材(主要是控枝花材)有集中點(如集中於前方)，不能隨意分散來插。

Comments from Sensei: The flower materials usually will go to 1 side because of its own weight. To solve this, one can bend the end of the flower materials to create a supporting interface. When the leaves are being damaged, we can use the flower scissors to shape them to its original shape.

控 — 乒乓菊
老師評語︰由於花材有重量，很多時它會傾向轉某一邊而難以定型。解決這問題的其中一個方法是可以把花材尾部屈曲，從而製造更多支撐面。另外，如果葉尖被破壞，可用花剪修剪其頂端來回復本身葉形。

Comments from Sensei: If the materials are too 2D, we can cut it and re-arrange it with a better shape. When we want to add Jushi behind the Shin, we need to put its end part in the front part of the foundation stems

Material: Nandina domestica, Spray Mum
Comments from Sensei: Fixing stems securely is the most essential part of Nageire Ikebana. If the fixing stems are not secured, the whole art piece can fall down easily. Besides, the fixing stems should locate near the top of the vase so that Hikae is more easy to fix in 75 degree. In addition, all fixing stems inside the vase should cut with inclined angle.

老師評語：用以穩固花材的花莖必須牢固地繫於花器口，否則整盆插花很容易塌下。另外穩固花材的花莖必須放近花器口，讓控枝更易做出75度。最後，穩固花材的花莖必須打斜剪才能牢固地繫於花器中。

學過插花，才發現插花並不是一件容易的事。
「大同小異」的花式，往往讓花藝師消耗很多腦汁才能牢記。各式各樣的花材，需要花藝師充滿歷練的技巧才能展現出她們最美麗的形態，而同時又能保持整體的和諧感。
沒有卓越天份的我，要成為一位合格的花藝師，還是應好好努力練習。

6th lesson - Variation No. 1 Upright Style Moribana
Material: Variegated Pittosporum, Star of Bethlehem
Comments from Sensei: Learn how to recognize and show the front side of the materials. Try to avoid a hole at the bottom middle by arranging flower as Jushi but not only leaves/stems. Be careful not to insert too many Jushi between the widely separated Shin and Soe.

控 — 雀梅
老師評語：學習辨認及展示花材的正面。中間底部應注意花的構圖，不應留下一個只有枝葉的洞。這款花式的真枝及副枝之間距離較遠，當中不要加太多枝葉。

Comments from Sensei: The lighter/smaller the flower, the higher should it be arranged. Jushi can come from Shin/Soe, adding these Jushi at Hikae can enrich the color of the bottom area.

老師評語：越細越輕的花材應放高一點，讓整個作品看起來平穩順眼。另外控附近的從枝可選擇真、副花材，讓控的周圍免於太單調。
