Gingersnap, a Maryland-based drum and bass powerhouse, has been DJing since 2019 but has lived and breathed music since childhood. Known for her dark, high-energy sets, she brings an old-school vibe mixed with relentless intensity, having shared stages with Chase & Status, Kanine, Koven & more. She’s a driving force in the local dance scene, committed to the music and culture.

Render One, a drum and bass veteran since 2004, has rocked dancefloors supporting legends like Andy C, Netsky, Goldie, Spor, Camo & Krooked + many more. From childhood to his teens, from recording cassettes to burning CDs; the passion for curating a cohesive musical experience has been ingrained in his mind since childhood. His passion runs deep, uniting all DnB subgenres into an unstoppable, unified, & high-energy experience that keeps dance-floors alive.

Last week our community lost a beam of light, a ray of sunshine that filled the hearts and souls of many in our tribe.

Dan Dan The Asian Man was a staple at many events in and around the DMV, always surrounded by a mountain of friends with his infectious smile and jaunty energy. His weirdness and quirkiness was what made our weird and quirky city so special.

The impact he had on so many people was never more obvious than the countless stories of his wild antics, second to none kindness, and “live life to the fullest” attitude shared through so many stories, as his friends and family said goodbye at his wonderful, way too soon celebration of life.

Let’s all try and love a little harder, each and every day. The way Dan did ❤️
