Did you know I offer laser/electrotherapy sessions?* These are short sessions where I use laser therapy (and PEMF if appropriate) for patients receiving regular physiotherapy, between full physiotherapy sessions**.

* Available to patients that have had a full physiotherapy treatment so I can determine suitability and appropriate laser regime. Frequency of laser dependent upon patient and condition.
** Laser is integrated into full physiotherapy treatments as standard at no extra cost.

From Monday 21st November 2022 visitors to Ashdown Forest will be required to pay for parking in all 45 Forest car parks. Parking payments are being introduced after an extensive public consultation and a thorough examination of the alternatives.

CEO of Ashdown Forest James Adler said, “In line with organisations such as the National Trust and Forestry England we are hoping our visitors will understand that by paying to park they are contributing to the long-term future and preservation of the Forest. There is so much to cherish and protect here – from the legacy of Winnie the Pooh to the unique lowland heath which is of international conservation significance.”

The car parks will be managed by Horizon Parking – and their staff are already on the Forest providing visitors with help and information about how to pay. The company is also managing the concession scheme which will help families struggling with the cost of living rises to continue to enjoy the Forest.

The annual concessionary pass will cost just £5 and the daily concessionary pass just £1 if you are on Universal or Pension Credit or any of the legacy benefits including:

– Child Tax Credit
– Housing Benefit
– Income Support
– Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
– Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
– Working Tax Credit.

To access these concessions, applicants will need a proof of benefit letter from the Department of Work and Pensions.

Applicants needing help with the system of obtaining concessionary passes can ring Horizon Parking’s Permits Team on 01245 392289, Option 4, Monday to Friday between 9am – 5pm, but will not be able to buy passes over the phone as this must be done online.

Blue Badge Holders will be able to park for free as long at the Badge is clearly displayed.

Annual and Winter only passes are also available, and are now on sale from Horizon Parking at https://horizonparkingportal.co.uk

Please visit the Ashdown Forest website at https://ashdownforest.org/parking/ for clear instructions on how to purchase a pass. Please note that if you purchase a pass, you will not receive anything to display in your vehicle as all checks are done electronically.

A Direct Debit payment option for passes will also be available shortly.

From Monday 21st November, when the pay to park scheme starts, day visitors to the Forest will pay:

– £2 for one hour
– £2.50 for up to two hours
– £4 for up to four hours
– £5 all day (6am to midnight)

Hourly and daily payments can by made in any of the following ways:

– Call Horizon to purchase hourly or daily tickets through the Pay by Phone line (0330 333 8446)
– Use any one of five selected car parking apps (Horizon Spaces, Your Parking Space, RingGo, JustPark or paybyphone)
– Scan the QR code on signs in the car parks to checkout online
– Visit the Forest Centre during working hours to pay by cash.
– Use one of the two machines at the Forest Centre to pay by card.

The location ID for parking in all Forest car parks is 661122. Car parks are open from 6am to midnight.

James Adler added:

“We recognise that this is a huge change to the way the Forest has been run in the past – but there will be great benefits to our visitors and the place they love. We can now look ahead to a sustainable future for Ashdown Forest and every parking fee paid will play a part in that.”
