Quick Life Update: We’re FINALLY Married! If you’ve followed us from the beginning, you might remember that Casey and I got engaged shortly before launching Fizzy in January 2020. It turns out that changing careers, launching a business, and navigating a global pandemic doesn’t leave much time to plan a wedding. Our friends and family often joked that we’d probably never set a wedding date. Well, this past Friday, we ended our 5½-year engagement with the most ‘us’ wedding day.

We eloped to Bell Mountain in North Georgia, planning for our close friend, Tara, to marry us with our dogs as our wedding party. It was a beautiful sunny day—until a couple of hours before the ceremony. On top of the mountain, we were greeted with 20+ mile-per-hour winds, blistering cold temperatures, and driving snow. With the help of our amazing photographer, Brooke, we braved the conditions to capture some pre-ceremony photos. However, the weather continued to worsen as we prepared for the ceremony. Just as we were about to call it off and head back to our Airbnb for the ceremony, the skies began to clear, and the wind died down.

Hand in hand, with our fur kids by our sides, we exchanged vows. Tara brought it all together for us, undeterred by Mother Nature. She reminded us our first date was on 1/18/18—a snow day in Atlanta that shut down the city. It was clearly meant to be that we’d get married in the snow.

Tara brought champagne and baked the most delicious German chocolate wedding cake. There, atop Bell Mountain, we had our reception and toasted to this incredible life we’ve built together. 12/20/24 will forever be one of the most special days of our lives.

Thank y’all for always being the best part of our Fizzy journey. Cheers to making more forever memories together with you!

It’s 2024️⃣, our amazing company is 4️⃣ years old and today is my 4️⃣0th birthday! 🎉 Dang, I’m old! Life comes at ya quick.

With all these years of wisdom I offer this unsolicited advice:
✔️ stay positive, rain makes rainbows 🌧️🌈
✔️ listen more than you speak 👂🙊
✔️ dreams don’t create themselves, you have to chase them 🚚💨
✔️ don’t eat the cold vendor meal someone gave you 4️⃣ hours ago 🤢☠️

Growing up, I really struggled to envision a career path for myself. I often envied those who knew their path early on: veterinarian, teacher, accountant – you know, a ‘real’ profession. What I did know was that I loved serving others. I loved the hum of a busy dining room on a Saturday night. I loved the smile you could bring to someone’s face with an unexpected moment of pure hospitality. So I took the path less traveled and signed up for a life of service – a life where a great cocktails and good conversation could create a memorable experience for someone.

While so much has changed in the some 20 years since I first waded into the hospitality pool, I still get to do what I’ve loved to do my entire adult life. It’s honestly what I was built for. And yes, I still get the question ‘Is this your full-time job?’ Why yes, yes it is! And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’m so glad you’re here! Make yourself comfortable. Stay awhile. We’ve been around for a bit, but I feel like we’re just getting started. We would love for you to come along with us and help us create even more memorable experiences. For we are all the music makers, and we are the dreamers of such amazing dreams. We can’t wait to serve you!
