UPDATE 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration. we are messengering everyone with the agenda over the next few days. Change of location - we are holding the event at the Lunenburg Community Center , much larger and easier to follow covid 19 regulation. Here is the agenda
The Itinerary for our 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration
DATE : 20 August 2021
Location: Lunenburg Community Center
Registration: 4 – 4:45 pm
Welcome Remarks: 5:00 pm -Gladys and Lee Fraser
Grace : Rev Aaron and Erica Kenny
Meal Served : 5:10 - Hot Turkey - New Germany Lion’s Club
Open Mic : During the meal for anyone wishing to address comments to Gladys and Lee
Meal ends : 7:00 pm
Guest dismiss to out doors while area cleaned and set up for dance.
Dance to Harvest Moon 7:30 to midnight
There will be no bar but there will be water and free pop for refreshment throughout the dance.
Covid 19 restrictions for Phase 4 will be posted and must be followed by all guest.
Requirements : WILL BE POSTED IN SEVERAL LOCATIONS WITHIN THE HALL.
1. Safe distancing; Registration, Meal and Dance
2. Registration : safe distance as guest register for the event . At registration each person will receive a number indicating the table and seat number preassigned to them. Mask must be worn during registration, while going to your table and in all common areas inside the building.
3. Meal : The same requirements regarding mask are in force as currently used in restaurants. Mask can be removed while sitting for the meal. There is to be no mixing and mingling during mealtime and should anyone wish to move from their assigned table they must once again wear their mask. The meal will be served by the New Germany Lion Club’s volunteers. Mask will be worn by servers just as in restaurants.
4. Opportunities will be given to those who wish to speak to the anniversary couple. Mask must be worn while going to the podium , but may be removed to speak. There will be a Master of Ceremony indicating when the podium is ready, there may be a mobile mic that the MC will take to your table. Details explained at the event.
5. Dance :While the hall is being set up , all guest will be asks to wear their mask , dismiss to the outside remembering to safe distance themselves. The dismissal to the outside will be in order of tables as announced by the MC.
6. Dancing, we are permitted to dance in groups of 25 if we so wish, while safe distancing and wearing mask. The Lunenburg Community Center is very spacious and dancing in such groups will not be a problem. We must wear our mask while dancing. Once our groups are established, we can not dance with others from different groups. This should not be a problem as most people only dance with those at their tables at regular dances anyway.
7. The Bar : There will be no bar but there will be water and free pop for refreshment throughout the dance. Guest may go to the refreshment table but maintain safe distancing, following the path provided for travel. A server will provide the drinks and the guest returns to their table and assigned group.
8. If Phase 5 happens before 20 August 2021, then it is our understanding that restrictions will be removed and we can dance without restrictions.
