Ruby was found this morning 5/1 chasing cows on a neighboring farm! She was gone for 3.5 days and the social media shares are what brought her home so quickly! Thank you Solano County and Vacaville for your support!!!

**update 5/1 Ruby is home!

Ruby is lost and we are heartbroken. She was last seen at the farm on 4/27 and could have traveled west into Vacaville or east into unincorporated Solano County towards Dixon. Please help bring her home 💕 my number is 510-333-9629. Animal Control can be called if you see her- she can be wary of strangers!

I haven’t shared publicly that the farm had a pretty rough spring. Due to the daily December rain followed by three months of zero precipitation and two extremely late frosts, we lost roughly $3,000 in revenue. Snapdragons, campanula, larkspur, nigella, and agrostemma had difficulty germinating and thriving and the first succession of zinnias, marigold and amaranth all died in our Mothers Day frost. It hurt.

Some of the loss had to do with still being considered a beginning farmer and learning the land, but not all of it. The weather really does affect our crops and our success. It was a lot of money for my third year.

With that being said, we are having an amazing summer. We have great customers and new florist accounts. Plus, predictable rain is my new favorite thing!

The Lisianthus photographed here is THRIVING. Look at that length! I am lucky to harvest these blooms daily.

As I move into the future with the business I’m making smart decisions about what I plant, where I plant and how. is helping make these financial decisions and I’m grateful for their guidance. Foliage, hoop houses, hedgerows and cover cropping all to come!

Thank you customers, designers, and florist for keeping our spirits high and bringing these blooms to your homes, businesses, and venues. We wouldn’t be here without you!
