In case you may not know……Pressed floral preservation is a unique service we offer to our full service & abundant floral design clients. We love this little, but valuable add on because not only does it mean we get to see our clients/now friends again after the wedding and catch up, but continue to design something they can keep for years to come. The process is very convenient because since we come back at the end of the night already for teardown-we take your bridal bouquet immediately at the end of the night & start pressing your florals right away for you.

We are starting to work on some from our spring 2024 weddings and can’t wait to share soon. 🥰😍

Floral meadows are such a great statement piece. Alex wanted something that would make an impact in the ceremony & reception space, but not block the beautiful water view and this was perfect.

Also will not disappoint you. I was beyond impressed with the staff, the venue, and their service. It was next level and no doubt they will take care of you. They even went out of their to way to take care of us vendors, seriously the best.

Summer has arrived & so has summer colors. 😍🫶🏻

For Clara 🥰😍

This wedding was extra special because it was at the Howard County Conservancy 2 minutes from my studio. When you get to design for a place that feels like home, it hits a little differently. We go there almost every week with our dog Atlas and enjoy the beautiful sunsets, gardens, and trails. A wedding here will always be a YES for me.💙

For now my husband got some good shots of the bouquet at home, but I can’t wait to see what captured.

I am still and probably forever will be obsessed with this bouquet. It is so much my style as it was ’s. The combination of some classic wedding blooms with seasonal local blooms designed together to create a unique garden, coastal, and whimsical feel. Perfection, at least to me. 💙

It also had some sentimental touches I added for to make it even more unique and special for her. I love designing thinking about the littlest of details. It can add so much value & impact to the design and makes it customized to you as a couple for your special day. It was an honor and really proud of this one.

Felt it was time for a reintroduction. We hit 1,000 followers and there’s a lot of new faces! 💙

I’m Rachel, proud owner & lead floral designer for Sunset Florals serving couples & any one else who wants florals at their events. This is not my first career as many wedding vendors can relate to, but man has this change brought more joy to my life and my job satisfaction than I could have ever imagined. My original career is as an Occupational Therapist and I still love that field, but I really think I have found something I love even more right now that allows me to really showcase my creative side while still serving others.

How did I get into floral design?

Well, it’s a long story, but I think I should share a little bit. I experienced burn out during COVID as an OT more times than I want to admit. This led to struggles with anxiety and depression. When I decided to take a break and focus more on my mental health/time with God, I discovered my obsession with florals. I also felt ready for a change and wanting to do something that was going to require me to put a lot of my faith in Him to actually be able to do it. It’s funny, in therapy before I even explored floral design, I remember painting flowers to symbolize various aspects of my mental health journey. I was exploring different career options and thought to myself, let’s email this florist and see if she wants any help. welcomed me in & she is part of the reason I began to believe, yes I can do this as a business.

Flowers & making people smile is my passion, and my job. I wouldn’t have it any other way. 2024 has already been a dream come true & it’s only getting better. Thank you everyone for the support. It means the world. 💙

So I thought it was time to introduce one of my team members to everyone.💙

This is my gal Lilian an artist herself who owns a small business (go check her out at ) she makes the cutest stuff from pins to mugs all with a whimsical & fandom-inspired design.

She has become my go to team member this year as the business grows for assistance during the week in the studio prepping for all these beautiful weddings doing the fun tasks and not so fun tasks all with a smile. Her favorite flower at the moment is a hellebore and she has two cats. We share a mutual love for Taylor swift so you will find us in the studio jamming out to her when we’re working together.

Okay so it’s not really a secret. But when it comes to repurposing, it is not a one size fits all situation. There are many factors that impact what I recommend for repurposing florals-some include time of year, types of florals desired, venue, wedding timeline, and SO much more.

I often discuss most realistic ideas for repurposing during a initial consult based on what we know so far, but finalizing decisions on what is best to implement are discussed closer to the wedding date because that is when we can better help in making the decision weighing all the factors that we may not know until closer to the wedding date.

In order for repurposing to be successful, you really need the expertise of your florist and to trust what they think will be most successful. We can also give you the pros and cons of specific repurposing strategies for you to make the best informed decision. This is a part of the process and why you hire us, to help in making these kinds of decisions!

I know it’s not the simple answer, but this is the best answer.♥️

We love floral/greenery ideas that will make an impact on the space. This greenery on the stairwell was a show stopper! I’m so glad Lindsay and Mike decided to add this to their reception space. So many people were taking pictures with it and admiring it the entire evening!

Why do we love floral statement pieces like these?

They can make the biggest impact on a space. This one in particular really brought the Christmas vision into the cocktail room.

They are perfect for pictures with friends/family. Especially this wedding day where it was raining so outside was a no go.

A lot of times they can be repurposed-this arch was placed framing the fireplace & sweetheart table for the reception and was a stunner all night.

Sometimes the most important arrangements you design are for those you or your clients loved. ♥️

I lost someone dear to my heart this season, but was so grateful to be able to be there for her and say goodbye with family.

It was also so meaningful this season to design a bouquet for this bride’s mother and honor her in this way.
