I have a day off tomorrow so that means I am working away on a few more saddle arrangements and a few other crafty projects. It’s hard to believe that I have ran out of flowers supplies already and after multiple large hauls. This is the current one that I am working on.

One of my newest obsessions has been diamond painting.

To be quite honest, I held off on trying diamond painting as I didn't think that I would enjoy it and that it would be very tedious. However, I was hooked after completing my first one. It's been a fabulous stress reliever and anxiety tool.

As an added bonus I stumbled upon an amazing company that offers licensed kits from one of my favourite artists. This piece is called, “Sleeping Beauty,” by Tamara Laporte of Willowing Arts. I have accumulated 4 of her many kits so far and hope to collect them all. She is such and uplifting spirit and creates beautiful and whimsical artwork. Everything about her artwork brings me joy.

Here's a quick little video of a few of the arrangements available and a replication of my Grandma’s washtub garden that I made for my Dad.

I do not make these for profit but for the joy of creating them. My hopes is simply to recoup the costs so that I can continue to create more. Everyone heals from loss differently and this is one way for me to heal and grieve the loss of my loved ones especially my grandmother. One of the ways that I heal is by continuing to share memories and stories of my loved ones. Creating these beautiful pieces allows me to keep my grandmothers memory alive. She was a light in our lives and that light will continue to live on in those of us she left behind. Sharing these pieces brings me peace and hopefully some comfort to others who are experiencing loss. My grandmother had the most beautiful smile and was such a kind soul who loved us each dearly. She may no longer be with us but I will do my best to honour and cherish her memory, spread love, comfort, and keep her garden blooming.

A little throwback of my childhood. This photo was taken at my grandparents in their front yard. Here is one of grandma’s tire gardens that I have mentioned and just a few of the many pinwheel decorations that she loved.

Many of the best memories were made here at my grandparents home with people that I love dearly.

I have never been so nervous yet excited to post one of my creations for sale. Sometimes, we just need to take a chance and go for it so that is what I I am doing. This was truly a creation from the heart.

This beautiful cemetary saddle arrangement is made with high quality artificial flowers in a white, yellow, and a peachy/coral colour combination. The photos simply do not do it justice. It has a solar light in the centre.

I'm off to create more arrangements while I listen to the Irish Rovers and Tanya Tucker (that was one of mine and Grandma’s things), her radio was always playing. Tears may be shed but they will be happy tears from a place of love and a deep appreciation for the woman that she was. A woman whom I aspire to be like.

The floral arrangements that began it all and my passion for creating more.

Tonights flower haul for more floral arrangements. I am quickly becoming a flower hoarder. If you are a family member, you will know what I am talking about. I say that in the most respectful and loving way.

If you have liked my page, thank you and welcome. What started off as creating cemetery arrangements for my loved ones has quickly become a passion of mine and my own little way of honouring my late grandmother, Carolyn. A few of my grandmothers last wishes for her family members was to love God, find happiness, do what we love, and to take care of one another. I fully intend to do just that and this is one of the ways I plan to do so.

As a child, some of my favourite gifts were handmade creations that my grandmother made for me. As my mother always says, “ she gets her love and gift of crafting from her grandmother”.

Creating floral arrangements has become near and dear to my heart. It has become a therapeutic way for me to heal from the loss of my grandmother and to keep her memory alive. Here I will share my love for my grandmother and the love of creating that we both shared.
