Avant is a DJ and producer based in Cologne. As an experienced and talented DJ, he put himself on Cologne’s underground scene map. In addition to his musical education and many years of experience, he found his own place in the electronic scene with a wide and relevant network and a precise understanding of all facets of production. Already a regular at famed clubs like Gewölbe, Heinz Gaul or Reineke Fuchs his first original productions have found home on Brian Cid’s New York based label ENDANGERED. Avant is founder of the PUNKT PUNKT KOMMA STRICH Crew, a Cologne based Crew consisting of four artists united by one vision. As founder and owner of the PUNKT PUNKT KOMMA STRICH Label, he aims to create a creative space full of musical expression and artistic freedom.

I always like to share a musical journey. First up, I'll be sharing my signature sound of Melodic Techno. This is the sound which I identify with, where my passion lies and which I will always continue to play and produce. I created Molecul last year. It turned out to be a really emotional and calm journey, reflecting the overall mood and the ongoing situation without Nightlife and Cultural Events. Nightclubs function as a form of escapism from everyday life. A nightclub is a place where temporary communities are formed where people can act out fantasies, pretend to be someone they are not and for a certain period of time essentially escape their everyday lives.

On a positive note, there is a lot of progress and I can’t wait for the day people will be united by music and enjoying their time on the dancefloor again 🖤

Not only did we finally found our own label as PUNKT PUNKT KOMMA STRICH Crew, we also created the first EP for the label. The new EP is called Initium.
