It’s been a while my friends! Time for a re-introduction. I’m Geraldine, owner/founder/lead planner of GQ Maui Events. My assistant, Kellene Chun .creations and our occasional side kick, Erika . I’ve been planning weddings since 2009 For the Royal Lahaina Resort and left in 2016. Missing the planning life, I officially started this company in 2020 at the beginning of Covid, so my dreams to plan again was put on hold. I decided to bring this back to life in 2021. In 2022, I brought on my amazing, talented and eye-for-detail friend Kellene to join me on this journey of LOVE. I am a proud Lāhaina girl (born and raised) who moved upcountry just a few years ago where my husband and I raise our family. My family knows the importance of Lahaina and the people and the history. A small town with big hearts. A town that you can walk into the grocery store and know at least 5-10 (or everyone) in there. You call them aunty, uncle, brother and sister even though you’re not blood related. No matter how far I travel away from Lāhaina, I always hold it close to my heart. Lāhaina is with me everywhere I go. It is rooted within me. A town filled with many hardworking, caring and loving people. My heart aches as the days goes by.

Please pray for Maui. Pray for my Lāhaina and Kula Ohana as we go through these phases of our new lives. As we grieve for the loss of what we had to what is now gone. Please keep us all in your hearts and prayers.

Had the pleasure of working with one of Maui’s talented photographers for our family’s photo shoot. It was a very stormy day and with no other days to reschedule due to family leaving the next day, we made it work. Created a studio in our warehouse and once the weather cleared, we headed outside for some fun shots in the mud🤪.
