Dear Couples: Your kind words and recommendations reach further than you could ever realize.

Think back to when you were planning your own wedding - (hopefully) you scoured past client’s reviews of your potential vendors before inquiring with them. Based on what you read, you felt more or less trust for said vendor and were able to make your decisions more confidently.

Reviews are SO appreciated by both your vendors and their future clients. I always encourage my couples to leave reviews for each of their vendors after the wedding day because I know the weight they carry. In my opinion, there’s no greater thank you than a glowing review. So grateful for sweet words from sweet clients 🥰

🎁 Let’s talk wedding favors!

They aren’t necessary or expected, but are usually graciously welcomed.

If you want to provide them for your guests, here are some tips:
•Don’t expect that everyone will take one (plan to provide enough for about 75% of your guest list)

•Don’t expect that everyone will take JUST one 😳

•Rather than putting one at each guest’s seat, I usually recommend them being placed at a central spot at the reception (this saves $$)

•They can do double duty and also serve as es**rt cards (this too saves $$)

•Favors that are authentic with useful & unique qualities will make more of an impact/impression (edibles go a long way in my book! 🍡) and therefore create less waste

•Fun idea: Consider serving a late night snack for your guests as the favor

•Not feeling it? One alternative to providing a take away favor is to make donation to your favorite charity, in honor of your guests 💕

DETAILS>>>> When you heard me say I was detail oriented, I wasn’t kidding! Earlier this week, my husband asked me what talent I would showcase if I were on . My answer: “Nothing because I’m not talented” 🤣🤣🤣 Obviously, this is not how I really feel but what could I actually *demonstrate*?🧐

I came up with some good options, I think...
>Sitting at a desk pouring through a bride’s wedding details, triple & quadruple checking contracts and notes and timelines?!
>Moving a dinner table to the left 3 times and then back to the right once until it’s e•x•a•c•t•l•y 5ft from its neighbor?!
>Me on repeat reminding every bridal party member to give “big smiles” as they head down the aisle?!

🤷🏻‍♀️ Would you vote for me?? In my experience, the wedding industry is not glamorous or “show worthy”. It is hard work, high pressure, and a constant juggling act for a planner/coordinator. But, I wouldn’t have it any other way because more than all of that - it’s joy, LOVE, trust, family, smiles, teamwork, laughter, happiness, warmth, covenants, friendship, excellence, creativity, CAKE, good food, generosity, and hope. It’s all extremely rewarding and I am just so grateful to be here. ❤️

✨Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Lucas!! ✨

Y’all, this is the kind of couple that makes me soo thankful to have found my way into the wedding world 🥰🥰. Kelly & Brandon have truly been a joy to work with these last few months. They put their trust in me, communicated well, and were so warm and appreciative throughout our time together. And their friends & family were just as welcoming! This couple has overcome so much to make it to their wedding day, but I know they’ll agree that the delays and crazy weather was all worth it. This weekend started out with hurricane downpours, gray skies, and constant winds, but God sent us sunshine and calm just in time for an absolutely beautiful wedding!

Congratulations again you two!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Another quiet Saturday down. I would’ve much rather spent today making a beautiful couple’s wedding come to life, but instead I organized things in my office and snuggled my 3 guys on the couch 💕. Not quite as eventful or life changing as a wedding day, but just as full of love!

📸 •5• (actually relevant) Questions to Ask a Potential Wedding Day Photographer:
1. Do you offer albums or prints? Even if your photographer doesn’t offer printing, they should be able to recommend a preferred printing lab to you. Please don’t print your wedding photos at CVS! 🙈
2. What is the turnaround time to receive our photos? Make sure your expectations/needs are reasonable and will be met.
3. What is your plan if you can’t make it to the wedding due to an emergency, etc.? Life happens! Ideally your photographer will have someone they could send in their place.
4. We are interested in your (______) package, would this package allow us ability to get photos of x y and z? Maybe x y and z for you are getting ready, exchanging gifts with your fiancé, or getting photos of your guests during cocktail hour. Your photographer will be well experienced with timelines and can tell you which of your wants are feasible/reasonable within each of their packages.
5. How can we work together to create a shot list? Now, your photographer is a professional and does NOT need a list of every photo you are expecting, this is why you hire someone you can trust to get the shots you like. (Please stay away from those Pinterest lists!) You will know you can trust them once you’ve reviewed full wedding albums from their past weddings and find your self excited and picturing you and your families in them! Now that that’s said, your photographer will want to work with you to learn of any specific moments you want documented or particular people to get photos with/of, outside of the norm.

They say no matter how long you’ve been together, there are still new things to learn about your partner. I’m testing the reality of that statement and can attest to it being true 5 years in 😆. Whether you’ve been together for 2 years or 20, I encourage you to dig in and look for ways to know your partner better. And I don’t just mean facts, such as the way they like their coffee or what their morning routine is like. Ask each other deep questions to spark uncharted conversation; explore new places or try new activities together; join them in a hobby they usually do solo, etc. These things will deepen your understanding of each other and undoubtedly bring you even closer. Try one of these ideas this week and see what you learn! As always, cheers to your covenant, friends!! 🥂

Have you wondered if a formal seating plan is really necessary or, what that even looks like?

🌿There are many things to consider in your decision that will be specific to your wedding. In some cases, it is not entirely necessary, but I typically recommend providing one for your guests. You could do assigned table seating using a seating chart or es**rt cards, open seating with a few reserved tables for VIPs, or assigned seating using place cards.

🌿Seating plans are a great way to keep things organized and moving quickly, and gives everyone a comfortable place best suited for them. For example, you can ensure your wedding party is seated nearest to you or, your grandparents are at a comfortable and easily accessible table or, your cousins that don’t get along don’t end up at the same table. If you are doing a plated meal where your guests have preselected a specific entree, then assigned seating with place cards is a must.

🌿You’ll want to start on your seating plan earlier than later! This is a task that requires a lot of time and communication between you and your fiancé and likely your parents too.

Your wedding details should be personal to your relationship and should tell a cohesive story. Don’t plan your biggest day around things because you “saw it on Pinterest”, or your “cousin did it at her wedding”, or worse, just because it’s cheap! When we work together to plan your wedding I will constantly encourage you to interject who you two are into your wedding day details and plans! And I will help you find ways to do that within your budget 🙌

Hey! It’s me, Anna, and I thought it was high time I shared a bit about me and my journey!

I established my company in 2019 and have been a busy, wedding detail loving, bee since!!

I have always been a creative and very detail obsessive. I LOVE making lists 😆

After high school, I started planning and designing small events for who ever would let me! I grew in knowledge, know-how, and creativity with each event. Eventually, a family friend trusted in me enough to coordinate their daughter’s wedding. While I felt capable, I have to admit I was terrified! 😳 But I knew letting them down was not an option, so I prepared and learned as much as I could. The wedding day came and was a great success! I felt so empowered by the end of that night that I knew I had to make planning & managing weddings a regular thing ASAP!

Here are a few fun facts about me!
🔹I was born and raised in Charlotte, NC
🔹My husband Nathan and I just celebrated our 5th anniversary together!
🔹I am a dog mom extraordinaire to our boys Mowgli (like in the Jungle Book) and Freddie (after )!!
🔹I have the hardest time not using emojis when I text. Does that make me a 15 year old?? 😫
🔹I have an entire cabinet full of my milk glass collection; I love antiques and going junkin!
🔹I am a grumpy, lifeless woman if I don’t have my morning coffee/s! 😜

Marriage Monday encouragement coming in hot! This is such a strong, truthful statement. Engaged couples- take care in choosing your wedding vows as they will carry you through both the best and worst of days in your marriage. Married couples- take your vows out and read them to each other every so often, I promise it’s incredibly strengthening!

I think this time in our world has made it abundantly clear as to how much we need COMMUNITY. Just like you wouldn’t want to get married with out your favorite people by your side, you don’t want to do life (staying home) without them either. This is a hard time and it’s ok to feel sad and lonely. The good truth is, we ARE in this together and, while it might look a little different, we CAN still “be” with each other. What creative ways have you found to connect?
Personally, I’ve been having many more FaceTime chats than ever before (thanks ) and I’m being sure to check in on those I love much more often.

Am I the only one with a list of hugs waiting to be handed out as soon as this is all over?!
