If you want to welcome a new little person to your family but you are not religious a baby naming ceremony may well be the answer.
You can hire a Celebrant to write and deliver a bespoke ceremony. This works well for adopted children too. You can include poetry, readings and perform rituals which include the child's godparents and other family members. It is a beautiful way to welcome a child to your family

I wonder if weddings will become smaller and more intimate. Nothing wrong with a big wedding but l wonder if couples who could only have six guests feel they missed out. Lots of people l have spoken to enjoyed a Christmas that was less fussy. Maybe wedding will be the same. The vintage dress you can see is from my Etsy shop.

I’m Bernadette Jones-Allen, a licensed, certified celebrant based in Bedfordshire. I did my training with Civil Celebrants and I am a member of The Celebrants Collective. I cover Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London. I am also happy to cover other areas or officiate events held abroad, so please feel free to get in touch!

I have worked in education for 30 years (as a English lecturer and English teacher to secondary school students with learning difficulties. I am used to speaking in front of large crowds and making people feel included...and I have a way with words! I sincerely believe everyone has the right to celebrate the way they wish regardless of gender, race or religion or the s*x of my couples. I love meeting new people and can't wait to meet you at the beginning of this new chapter of your life!
