Cryptic Hertz presents Atomic Clock was a great success! A big horns up to each and everyone who showed up and made this gig so memorable for all of us!

Cheers to .grind , and .india for totally ripping the place apart!

It was wonderful to see Goatsmoke receive a rousing reception for their debut EP 'What's the scene, bob' comprising 5 absolutely delicious sludge/doom tracks.

Lucidreams, playing live after 4 years made us realise just what we've missed all this while with their brand of melodic heavy metal that had us grooving till the very end!

False Flag, hailing all the way from Bombay , played a tight set of their home grown post- hardcore/Crust Punk.

XrepeatX, kicked off the gig with high energy which lasted till end of their set. We would like to thank .gadd for letting us use his snare for the gig!

We would like to thank , and their entire crew for their cooperation and for being super helpful throughout the gig.

Thanks to and .gopalmenon for once again doing a brilliant job at ensuring all the bands sounded kick-ass!

xrepeatx (BLR) XrepeatX is a grindcore/hardcore band formed in Bangalore, India in the year 2016, and signed onto the Irish Label - Cursed Monk Records. They are 4 members Vino - Vocals, Jay - Guitars, Yogi - Bass, and Karthik - Drums. Their major musical influences are bands like - Magrudergrind, Insect Warfare, Wormrot, and many more. They launched the self-titled ep in the year 2016 and they released their first full-length S*x Drugs Grindcore in the year 2020. They have also shared the stages with bands such as Vader, Desecravity, Nuroticos,Onanizer, and many more. They DO NOT believe in gimmicks and definitely not in the trendcore sh*t.

FALSE FLAG (BOM) False Flag is a 5-piece Hardcore Punk/Screamo/Post-Hardcore band. Their music involves rapidly shifting tempos & rhythms and an interplay of dissonance and melody to build tension. Their sound is constantly shifting but the intent and motifs remain the same - confrontational, dissonant, abrasive but melancholic whirlwind of noise. It is the logical response to existing in a Neoliberal society that is increasingly becoming authoritarian and bigoted. They ponder and ask questions about what it means to be living in a techo-capitalist and fascist world and urge you to do the same.

Final band announcement!

As each day passed by, so did the uncertainty. Amidst a pandemic and having luck turn against us so close to the set event date, we had to postpone our launch edition a number of times throughout this year. What kept us going is the fact that this was a DIY gig. The spirit of the underground. CRYPTIC HERTZ! \m/

We would firstly like to thank everyone for their support throughout this process. The show went on, and it went on GREAT last night at Wire Up! A night you all made memorable for us.

We've come from meeting each other playing battle of the bands at school fests, to organizing our own gig now. To see the people we grew up with standing and supporting all of us in the first row; to have the musicians we looked up to all these years share the same stage; to gaining all this support and making it happen despite the circumstances-
It's been long, but worth the wait, for sure. \m/

Of course, it wouldn't have been possible without Hemanth and his team from Wire Up Thank you for being an amazing host and providing us with the stage, sound and every fu***ng thing possible to make this gig happen. Wire up is the one stop solution for all your music needs and you've got to check this place out!

1. Giddy Hoo

Giddy Hoo is a 4 piece rock band, based in Bangalore, inspired by the sound of the 70s. The band gets most of its popularity in the city from winning a string of battle of the band competitions which includes Battle of the Bands (Bangalore edition) hosted by Radio One 94.3, Fas track Music Run, and Team Concept Crew where they have been lauded for their chaotic and groovy jams and soaring high vocals.

2. Goatsmoke

ILLUCIA is a Heavy Metal act based out of Bangalore, India formed in mid-2014. The band has a variety of Power Metal, Speed Metal, and Rock N’ Roll Influences. Their EP ‘111’ was released in 2019 and following that year they released a single called Dreamtime Observers in 2020. The band is ready with their debut full-length album due this year or early 2022.

4. Piston

Piston is a heavy metal band from Bangalore, India, formed in 2016. The band plays thrash metal, sharing much of their musical characteristics with the founders of the genre in their prime.
It played to a demanding audience twice soon after their inception, gathering immense praise for their laudable renditions of classics, and for reviving the hard-hitting sound made popular by bands of yore.

On account of the restrictions/prohibitions imposed due to Section 144 (1) of CrPc, ED. 1 of Cryptic Hertz will be postponed. Since we value the safety of the bands, crew, the venue and most of all- you, our supporters, we’ve decided to stick with this decision! 🤛🏽

There’s been a huge spike in C-19 cases this past week as we all know. Considering the situation, we will patiently wait it out.

That said, the response we’ve got so far has exceeded our expectations. 😍 We appreciate it all. The show MUST go on, and the show WILL go on, no doubt! 🤘🏽

The rescheduled date will be announced soon!
