PSA real talk about rainbow auras 🌈🩷✨

Many people come to us saying that they wish they had a rainbow aura but have ‘more work to do’ before they get there …

We are here to tell you that while rainbow auras are lovely and special, they don’t necessarily mean that one is ‘healed’ or ‘better’ than any other aura color.

A rainbow aura is a sign of growth, balance, and harmony among your energy centers and represents the following:

Balance & Healing:
You’re working on balancing your chakras and healing different aspects of yourself.

Diversity of Energies:
You’re embracing a variety of emotions and experiences, which is a sign of personal development, not perfection, and may often come off as a feeling of ungrounded, squirrelly energy 🐿️.

Potential for Growth: A rainbow aura reflects your potential to grow and evolve, not that you’ve reached a flawless state.

Embracing the chaos of life:
Depending on what’s happening in your life, a rainbow aura may indicate someone who is going through waves of chaos energy, or someone who embraces chaos and uses it as a creative outlet. We often see this in people with ADHD personalities.

But what if my aura is black? 🖤

Hello loves. This is a question we get often, either that or, ‘I’m afraid what I’ll find in my aura’…

We are here to tell you that there are no ‘wrong’ or ‘bad’ aura colors.

The color of your aura is in alignment with your most open and activated energy centers or chakras- all of which are beautiful in their own way and supportive to the human experience. 🩷

And yes, that applies towards black aura as well. Society teaches us that the color black is associated with evil, or that darkness is associated with bad… not true.

In fact, we are big believers in the transformative growth that comes through walking within the darkness, an aspect of life that cannot be avoided so instead we suggest courageously embracing it.

So what does it mean to have a black aura? 👇

Black aura is often a form or self protection, for example: if someone has been hurt emotionally, they may be temporary closed off to certain relationships that threaten their safety or wellbeing. This form of self protection can often appear as bits of black in an aura photo.

Black aura may also indicate a period of recovery, a time where someone needs space to collect their thoughts. Since black is known to absorb both negative and positive energy it has the ability to put us into a space of neutrality, which is optimal for healing.

We absolutely love a black aura because it typically appears right before great transformation, a catalyst for life changing events. Plus we find black auras to be one of the prettiest of the aurasphere!

𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥, 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗨𝗥𝗔 𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗙, 𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗔 𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥 ✨

Before Corinna was the Queen of Aura photography, she was, and continues to be, a professional soul essence photographer. You can swoon over her beautiful work , or catch a mini session with her this fall before she heads east for the winter!

Corinna took her first photography class when she was 20 years old, after the recommendation of a stranger on a train, to which she feels completely changed the direction of her life.

In many ways, photography was like meditating to her, she can always count on it to bring her back to center. She is a strong advocate for having a creative outlet, be that art or movement or community spaces.

Lately her role at IYA looks like traveling to other cities spreading the seeds of aura photography, mentoring other female business owners, and growing a team here in Denver with that is built to thrive. She is so very grateful for the incredible team of talented individuals that make up our growing IYA family.

On a personal note, she has been in a playful exploration lately of what it means to be human. Letting go of the identity of who we think we “should be” and going back to the basics. Who did you want to be as a child? If you could plan your whole week wired for joy over “success” what would it look like?

For Corinna, you can bet on her spending her days snuggling her sweet yet snarky chihuahua, singing with her earbuds in, being wooed by nature’s magic, and dreaming up her next adventure.
