We are about to be popping agoan soon with flowers and hopefully back to regularly scheduled programming of showing their beauty for you and getting bouquets back out to you. Thank you everyone for purchasing our flowers and thank you H&H Farmstand, and for helping us! Please support these fine local businesses they are what make Franklin so special. I spent 25 years living in Raleigh where chain stores and chain restaurants pushed out local business.

According to Harvard Business Review, women receive less than 3% of all venture capital funding. We are massively under-represented when it comes to venture backed funding as entrepreneurs. Venture capital is still largely a man's game.

I've had the privilege of attending Niki's workshops and learning firsthand from her the skills and knowledge to build our little flower farm over here.

I can't say this enough about Niki: she is kind, smart and savvy. She's a great teacher in a highly competitive business willing to share all she's learned. Niki not only teaches what's made her a successful entrepreneur and flower farmer, she's honest about the failures and roadblocks she experienced along the way. This woman has moved her farm THREE times on her way to building Flourish Flower Farm. Enough said.

Record low temperatures brought on by Hurricane Ian this week brought our 2022 growing season to an abrupt end. I’m reminded of fleeting impermanence of life and the beauty that is in that as well. The Japanese call it wabi sabi. Thank you everyone who bought flowers from us this season. We’re already planning our 2023 growing season. After two hard years I’m just so grateful we were able to grow again and get flowers out to our community.
