From the recent events I attended, these are good reminder for everyone to remember the social dance etiquette. Social dance is one of the way to grow the dance community , support from everyone is required to make it works. Its a place where we can meet, mingle , get to know others and most important is dance with everyone

🌼 Ask politely for a dance , don't cut anyone when you see they are still talking

🌷 Be kind , Accept and decline gracefully

🍀 Maintain good hygiene

🍁Follow the lead and follow roles respectfully

🍂Thank your partner afterward

🌼 Don’t pressure anyone to dance... maybe they are tired , need a break

🌷 Don’t overdo flashy moves... its a social dance floor not a performance stage

🍀 Don’t give unsolicited advice ~ leave it to the class , you are not a teacher on social dance flooe

🍁Don’t monopolize one partner: Social dance events are for mingling and dancing so don’t dominate someone’s time. Allow them to dance with others. Let others to enjoy dancing, sharing is caring

Come and join us for some goodness workshop and party with LAM LAKIZ from Melbourne /Congo, he is the founder of African Soul, the dance company that is based in Melbourne. Very passionate about the dance, the music and the culture local, interstate and international. The workshop will cover good understanding and knowledge covering, Kizomba and Semba. We are offering this weekend workshop to improve in your dancing by having a structure and focus in technique elements that identify what is missing in your dance and how to work on that to help you grow.

The weekend will also have social dance party that dedicated to Kizomba /Semba music and dance with a splash of Bachata and Salsa and we have 3 DJs to play their best tunes for us. And We want you to unite with others that are just as passionate as you to learn, grow and have the most amazing experience!!!
