Haus x Black Flag Events

After a b2b sell-out during refreshers week, we’re ready to bring some new and exciting faces to the Vic

On the 1st of Feb, we’re hosting Black Flag Events, an Edinburgh-based event group bringing a guest-only main room stacked full of heaters.

The Black Flag boys, hailing from Edinburgh have made a name for themselves on the student scene in both Glasgow and the capital. They have collaborated with the likes of and put up a few heavy hitters like Denham Audio and AKN to sell out shows including at the legendary Bongo Club in Edinburgh.

We’re excited to introduce some new Haus residents into side room as we move into semester 2

FLY X HAUS presents t e s t p r e s s 📣 MORE ARTISTS ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

From rubbing trees to spinning decks - DJ Mowgli should be a familiar name to anyone in the St Andrews DJ scene. You may recognise him from szentek, dance worm, amen collective, dontwalk, sport societies… If there’s music playing, there’s a chance Mowgli is behind the decks. Specialising in electro, techno and breaks we’re more than ready to hear his sound from 10:30-11:15.

Archie Holmes has dominated the Edinburgh scene over the last year. From countless Cowgate appearances to his main stage performance at , there’s nothing this man hasn’t done in the capital. Archie has had equal success in the studio with his latest EP getting numerous plays on BBC Radio 1. Catch him in the main room 11:15-12:15!

Kinga has been integrating himself into the UK scene with sets in Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle and Scotland with his most recent supporting in Liverpool. With a focus on all things bassy, preferring an eclectic mix of UKG and Speed Garage, 90’s and 00’s vocals, mixing in high energy house and tech expect high energy music and wobbles in the dance. Catch him playing from 1:45-2:30.

Polly is a relatively new addition to Haus, joining us as a second year in September, she already has a collection of events under her belt. She’s so far impressed everybody with her quick learning and natural talent. Expect some progressive and funky house from 2:30-3!

FLY x HAUS presents t e s t p r e s s 📣

t e s t p r e s s are a DJ & production duo originating from Aberdeen but now residing in Glasgow. Forward thinkers in the trance and techno realm, they’re known best for their high energy fast paced dunts.

The boys embarked onto the scene with edits published on Soundcloud and Bandcamp which generated buzz and captured the attention of Denis Sulta and KETTAMA. The boys are hailed as the experts of rap edits on Soundcloud. Recent label releases include Club Sweat, Wavelengths, Trick, Stress. Not to mention previous releases including Shall Not Fade, Hot Haus, Dance Trax, and Street Tracks to name a few.

Over the years, they've supported Patrick Topping who's co-sign along with their Trick EP 'SMML’ (2020) helped elevate t e s t p r e s s onto the global stage. 2022 saw the duo garner more support from the likes of VTSS, Hannah Laing, MyNu Leng and TSHA to name but a few. They've previously had a residency at the world-famous Sub Club in Glasgow and currently have one for the promoters of the moment FLY CLUB in Edinburgh.

The duo have since graced the airwaves and online, receiving support from BBC Radio 1's Arielle Free, Danny Howard, Pete Tong and Sarah Story. The boys also performed a very well received Boiler Room live set which has significantly boosted their world audience and further established them more locally.

t e s t p r e s s have filled 2023 with a host of high energy releases, the most notable of which was their release ‘U’ which came out on Stress Records in July. Before this they released on the industry giant label Armada with their Track ‘i just wanna go’. Both of these releases have been largely successful with heavy radio play and quite a number of inclusions into Spotify Editorial playlists. The boys have built up a serious release schedule for the rest of the year where they focus and delve more into the trancy/eurodance sound. You can expect a release on the eurodance industry leading label Method 808 as well as the boys first established official ‘tours’ in the UK and Australia.

FLY x HAUS presents t e s t p r e s s

FLY and HAUS are teaming up during refreshers week to host Scottish heavyweights t e s t p r e s s for their debut event in St Andrews.

With their recent Boiler Room set at FLY Open Air, the duo has captured a global audience attracting over 1.2 million streams on Spotify this year alone.

These legends are best known for their lethal hip-hop edits with a focus on the trance and techno realm. A host of recent releases including U and I just wanna go have established the duo as one of the leading up and coming talents in the UK.

Accompanying them, we have a fully loaded line-up including the likes of Archie Holmes, DJ Mowgli, Jamis and Polly.

Get ready to immerse yourself in the rhythmic waves of house music for one last time this semester as we cook up a storm with Saint Sizzle bringing back one of our headlining residents from last year…

Yes, that’s right, Tim Berger is flying in from the US to play a return set.

After our successful high-tempo special event we’re continuing our journey into the lesser-known genres of house music with some special Jazz and Progressive house sets accompanied by our usual high-energy house music to finish off.

As the sun sets on another semester, we invite you to join the Haus family by the shore as we sail into 2024.

The two heavyweights of the St Andrews scene are joining forces for the first time to host a Halloween party for the ages.

The top DJs from both collectives (as well as a special guest) will be causing a scene in Dundee with an eclectic mix of Hip-Hop, RnB, Afrobeats, House, and Garage.

With both BPM and Haus pulling sell-out crowds for every event, FIXR pre-sale is the only safe bet for ensuring entry to this one off special event.
