Experiment: clam pâté & shaved carrot crostino w/ fried sage garnish
(English muffins were all that were in stock, LOL...)

Experiment: clam pâté & shaved carrot crostino w/ fried sage garnish
(English muffins were all that were in stock, LOL...)
Taco night: Fried flounder, red cabbage slaw, avocado crema, tortilla of choice 👌🏾. Black beans and rice "OTS."
First draft plate-up: oat-crusted wahoo with pan-seared bok choy, herb-garlic yogurt sauce, pickled slaw, and rice.
I'm not sold on the presentation yet; the rice might be better off OTS and I could certainly use a more even browning on the oat crust. And more slaw! I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was, LMAO. Also a different plate with more negative space would look better, but I work with what I got.

I made some 🔥🔥 sides this weekend:
Roasted summer Cobb salad w/ homemade blueberry vinaigrette (been feeling the cast iron a lot as of late); blue cheese and green olives OTS.
Gluten-free basil-fried chicken w/ garlic chips and homemade basil aioli.
Both dishes are PERFECT for summertime! That vinaigrette did the damn thing...
week continues. More experimental recipes tailored to the / vegan experience. Those beet-stuffed mushrooms most *definitely* won the week 🤌🏾.
First time working with ; not my favorite (🙃), but I can imagine some strong use cases. Back pocket? Sure...

Experimented with dietary modifications this weekend. Also made some AMAZING garlic chips, courtesy of 's recipe...
Gluten-free cauliflower tempura w/ said garlic chips & scallions for color, vegan Sriracha aioli OTS.
Dairy-free "cheese" steak lettuce cups using a cashew-based vegan cheese recipe. Made a vegan pesto to go with it for my cuzzo!
Not the prettiest recipes I've ever made, but I'm happy with the outcome. Here's to the next iteration...

Breakfast/brunch fridge clean-out: homemade oat bread, Greek yogurt, leftover baked bean spread, fried egg, hot honey, pickled radishes, fresh parsley 🤷🏾♂️🤙🏾✌🏾

Completely gluten-free and egg-free (it'd be vegan if not for the Greek yogurt)!
I've been on a serious BLT kick for the past few months: BLTs, ELTs, BELTs; I've done it all in a number of different ways.
Having an excess of bacon grease lying around ain't a bad byproduct, either 😉
BLT Day isn't until tomorrow, but I thought I'd celebrate early!

Love the ambience and friendly staff.
