Happy New Year, Boka Fam! 2024 just came and went in a flash, didn’t it?! We’ve been busy doing all the things busi-ness people have to do like renewing licenses and permits, etchetera-etchetera! But has also been busy doing test-kitchen stuff, experimenting with new flavors, like our already-popular CHEESEBURGER 🍔 LUMPIA w/ BOKA SAUCE! And~ we are ramping up with new dishes to introduce to the community. We strive to share our culture through our food, and we’re so grateful and excited that we have been well received since the day we started. We can’t wait to see what 2025 brings! One of my favorite desserts from my home across the sea is a Chamoru custard cake called Latiya (pronounced lah-tee-zah). It has a pound cake base topped with a light custard then sprinkled with cinnamon. When asked what it tastes like, we equate it to an horchata flavored cake. Just the right amount of sweetness that will keep you wanting more. Come see us at , Peoria every Saturday from 9am to 1pm or catch us at one of the many festivals in the valley!
