Can you believe it's a whole new month? I'm still pinching myself over the fact that half of 2022 is already over!

That being said, I think about the immense amount of change that has happened this year. A few months ago I didn't think running a small business was a possibility.

Getting things up and running has been a slow process, but I've been enjoying my summer outside of school and work. I even found the time to start sailing lessons again!

Consistency is key. I won't stop until I achieve my goals this year. Let's keep grinding and smiling through it! 💪🏽😁

One of the best things I get from working with flowers is the time I get to myself while I work. It allows me to practice mindfulness in a way that's peaceful and low pressure. This is something I'd like to bring to my classes. ⁠

Not only do I want my classes to be fun, I hope that each person walks away with something beautiful and a sense of wellbeing. ⁠

I remember spending hours selecting the "right" shades of paint to fill my metal watercolor palette! ⁠

A goal of mine is to improve my painting skills throughout the next year. I mean, I'm already a pretty decent artist - but I wanted to put in the effort to really find my style. ⁠

I learned that change is continuous and inevitable, but it doesn't have to be feared. It just means something new and exciting is coming!⁠
⁠
Remember that practicing mindfulness helps keep change anxiety and fatigue at bay. I practice meditating for about 10 minutes a day. That's all you need in the beginning. ⁠

I was always the type of person to buy flowers for myself. On the weekends when I was walking my dog Norah along Lincoln Ave in Chicago, we'd stop by a flower shop to buy a couple of stems to place on my window sill.

Showing self-love isn't selfish; it's self-care.

My name is Krystle (she/her/hers) and I'm a first-generation Filipino-American woman with a newly-founded small business. 🌻

Throughout my life, I've been drawn to surrounding myself with beauty. When I first started working with flowers, I was overcome with excitement as I learned how to refine my finesse and develop my design skills.

This newfound joy came at a time where I was experiencing a low point in my life. A point in which I felt lost, inadequate and unloved.

Through a considerable amount of self-reflection and therapy, I discovered self-love for my inner child. I made some difficult life changes since then, but found that everything has fallen perfectly into place!

My brand represents the pursuit of love and light in a new age: an era to reject the status quo, break stereotypes, and live boldly.

New Age Flower Child is more than just flowers; it's a breakaway moment.

Big things coming soon!
I spent the majority of the day playing with flowers and I honestly can't remember the last time I felt so delighted. I feel like the past couple of weeks were so difficult at my full time job that today was a giant sigh of relief. I felt good about my skills today. I'm blissful and happy. ☺️
My small business is slowly becoming a reality. I'm so nervous for tomorrow! After church, I'll be giving away these little gifts of roses and carnations. I hope they go home with other flower lovers that support ! 😁🤞🏽
