Special and industrial Port of Barranquilla, capital of Atlántico department, Colombia. It is located on the west bank of the Magdalena River 7.5 km from its mouth in the Caribbean Sea and it is the fourth most populous city of the country.
The city is home to one of the most important folk and cultural festivals of Colombia, Barranquilla's Carnival, which was declared a National Cultural Heritage by the Congress of Colombia in 2001 and recognized by UNESCO in 2003.

Está ubicada sobre la margen occidental del río Magdalena a 7,5 km de su desembocadura en el mar Caribe y es la cuarta ciudad más poblada del país. Esta ciudad es sede de una de las festividades folclóricas y culturales más importantes de Colombia, el carnaval de Barranquilla, declarado Patrimonio Cultural de la Nación por el Congreso de Colombia en 2001 y Patrimonio Oral e Inmaterial de la Humanidad por la Unesco en 2013.
