Château de Villiers-le-Bâcle, located in Villiers-le-Bâcle in the Essonne region of France, is a Louis XIII-style building constructed between 1640 and 1684 by Michel Lucas, Lord of Saclay and Count of Châteaufort, on the ruins of the Hôtel de Presles.
The château is surrounded by a 40-hectare enclosed park, including 36 hectares of forest, situated on the edge of the Saclay Plateau and the slopes of the Mérantaise Valley.
The main building follows an "H" shape, characteristic of the Louis XIII style, with a central living area flanked by two wings. It is built with millstone, covered with brick, and topped with a slate roof. Originally, the château was surrounded by moats, which were filled in the early 20th century.
Over the centuries, the château has passed through various families and has undergone several restorations, notably by the Biver family in the early 20th century. In 2021, it was acquired by Xavier Niel, the founder of Iliad, although he did not take up residence there.
