Put your name in the hat -- if your name gets picked, you come to the stage to tell a true, 5 minute story.

Would you come? -

Would you come? -

Quick question, We're in conversation with the folks at the Rayback Collective about getting a story slam going there.  It would be a great space in many ways! Food trucks and a bar for drinks & nibbles, outdoor hangout space before and after the slam, tables to sit at while we list...

! Last night was The Moth Grand Slam, y'all. I know some of you were there. (Great to see you! Thanks for saying hi!) I worked really hard to get my story down to 6 minutes (The Moth is way stricter about the time limit than I ever was) and I had a great time telling my story.  It wa...

Outside the office as principal at Auntiecorn Leadership Strategies, Tamara also facilitates, holds space for, and emcees transformative events, staging spectacle that shows you your individual and collective greatness.

👋Meet Drew Jack Dawkins Raps

Drew Davis is a rapper, poet, and storyteller based in Boulder, Colorado. He loves long-distance endurance training (nothing like a five-hour workout to contemplate how many ways one can rhyme the word “acidic.”)

He also loves to cook - pre-pandemic and pre-relocation to Colorado, he would host people for dinner at least once a week in his home. His Mom is from the south, which means his inclination toward hospitality is genetic.

He’s also five foot six inches tall, which dating apps have taught him is important to disclose.

Most importantly, perhaps, he loves stories. He loves telling them, writing them, shaping them, and crafting them. And he gets particularly energized about helping others examine and rewrite their narratives.

If you've got your ticket already, we will see you on January 29th to hear Drew’s story and other storytellers share their stories centered around the theme TWIST in our Grand Slam Championship.

👋Meet Nora

When not on a stage telling tales or talking about workplace culture, Nora Burns can be found wandering walking trails in Colorado with a coffee in one hand, and a dog leash in the other.

Join us on January 29th to hear Nora’s story and other storytellers share their stories centered around the theme TWIST in our Grand Slam Championship! See ya soon!

👋Meet Mary

Mary just published her first book at 71 years old, a memoir titled 14 Dogs and Me: One Woman’s Story of Never Saying No.

She rescues dogs with questionable character and requests that when she dies, her ashes be co-mingled with the ashes of all her dogs and tossed off the shores of Cape Cod.

Mary has been a real estate agent in northern Colorado for 25 years and teaches memoir to anyone brave enough to tell the truth.

See ya there!

👋Meet Melody

Melody Fairchild is a native of Boulder and the director of Boulder Mountain Warriors Youth Running Team. She relishes the opportunity she’s created for herself, to model and teach kids how to love themselves through the ups and downs of the journeys their passions initiate.

Creating community through creating environments where sharing our authentic selves is safe and liberating, is as important to Melody as winning races.

Her wholistic approach to coaching is informed by the wild ride she initiated as a child, by fanning the flames of her own running talent as a kid growing up in the mountains west of Boulder.

She lit the running world on fire as a teen, becoming the first girl to break 10 minutes for 2 miles, setting the national record in Cross Country, earning bronze at the world Jr. XC championships and becoming 8-time Colorado State Champion.

Melody seemed destined to reach Olympic level competition, until life had other plans…a story for another time.

The take-away: those “plans” all led to the manifestation of her simple prayer during every high school post-race interview when she was encircled by reporters and autograph seekers: “…may I transform this gift I’ve been given, into something good for the world.”

👋Meet Laurel

Laurel is originally from the "Island of Long" and came to Colorado when she worked in the outdoor industry and most happily accepted a promotion and an all expenses paid move to the Rocky Mountains.
More than three decades later, she is still searching for a good egg bagel to eat while she drinks coffee from her Penny Lane travel mug every morning.
After 27 years working at CU as an academic advisor, she has now created her own business, Higher Ed - Helping with a Heart, and looks forward to continuing her journey as an academic success coach.
