Carnforth Street Festival is nearly here! Save the date of Saturday 21st August in your diary now! The event starts at 3pm and runs until 8pm along lower Market Street, on Ashtrees Way and in the War Memorial Gardens. Market Street will be closed from 1pm and diversions will be in place.
The Festival is bringing a wide range of foods from around the World; beautiful and quality crafts and gifts from skilled craftsmen and women and top entertainment to our town and we are delighted that Beyond Radio will be joining us to capture the whole event as well as playing fantastic music!
The main aim of this event is to welcome people back into our wonderful town as life begins to get back to normality after one of the most challenging 18 months in living memory! It is also a celebration of our community who came together to help others like never before.
Carnforth Town Council, with the help and support of Lancaster City Council, Carnforth Business Network and volunteers is proud to be able to bring you the first ever Carnforth Street Festival.
With 21 food outlets; the same number of craft stalls; two fairground rides; four entertainers and our local radio station - we think that there is something for everyone!
Come and join the FUN on SATURDAY 21st AUGUST 2021 from 3pm until 8pm!
In no order below is a list of all that is on offer on the day!
Designer Flowers - elegant and exotic flower arrangements including a varied range of fresh flowers, artificial flowers, foliage, plants, garden ornaments and gifts.
John Bird will provide a wide variety of products such as Yorkshire pudding wraps, Chinese noodles, crepes, slushes, candyfloss and sweets. John is also providing two fairground rides for children of all ages and a toy stall!
Barkelicious - here you can get top notch meaty, natural and gluten-free dog chews for your furry friend to enjoy!
Liz Withey Photography - Liz will be selling prints, cards and Calendars of her amazing photos and will be 'snapping' throughout the festival - we look forward to seeing her incredible photos.
Annie Pinder will be selling a range of plant pots and exquisite pebble art.
Shaw Meats are a family-owned gluten-free butchers, providing a full range of delicious fresh meats such as Salamis, Cured Meats, Game, Fresh Meats, Fresh Sausages, Burgers, Black Pudding, Gluten Free Black Pudding, Haggis and Pork Ribs. None of their products contain MSG's, artificial flavourings, or colours.
Love me again by Ali sell beautiful candle and wax melts all using recycled pots/jars that have been reused or sourced from charity shops; helping to spend locally and recycle! All container candles, wax melts, bouquets and flower rings are made with 100% soy wax and are Vegan friendly too - not to mention they all come in a range of luscious scents.
The Happy Turtle who will be opening an Eco and Refill Store at Carnforth Heritage Centre in October. They produce their own range of skincare, haircare and toiletry items as well as offering refillable options for household cleaning, laundry products, bath and body products, basic (plastic free) food and drink items and plastic packaging free seasonal veg boxes.
Cafe Cio are a family owned traditional coffee unit, serving delicious coffee's, tea's, hot chocolate's and a selection of cold drinks keeping you energised throughout the day!
Just Popped Kettle Corn selling popcorn freshly popped and handmade at their stall by using a large kettle drum. Their popcorn is caramelised and lightly salted for a delicious sweet and salty flavouring. It is also vegan and gluten-free!
The Nordic Loft sells beautiful, rustic homeware pieces on a neutral palette including bowls and pots, flower soap bouquets, lamps, vases, planters and much more!
Sweet Wheels will be providing a range of sweet boxes filled with all your favourites in a scrumptious array - perfect for those with a sweet tooth!
Morey Scarfe Designs provide a range of magnificent prints, earrings, cards, stationery and more much - all pieces are unique and individual.
The Churros Bar for mouth-watering light and fluffy churros accompanied by delicious homemade dips such as; salted caramel, rich lemon cream, nutella and much more - something for everyone to enjoy! Check out their page to see their selection.
Tropical Skincare & Aesthestics is an award-winning vegan and cruelty free skincare and makeup brand. Their products are freshly made and sustainably sourced from natural ingredients all around the world. Rowan Tree Crafts selling a range of handmade journals, notebooks, ornaments, and accessories for all to enjoy!
Continental Cottage - here you can sample the finest foods from Germany, including salami, breads and a range of confectionery etc. They are best known for their £10 salami mix deal from market events around the UK.
Heritage Kitchen another small, family-run business who specialise in making preserves such as chutneys, relishes, marmalades, and vinegars. They contain no artificial colours preservatives or additives of any kind...and they are all delicious!
Lakeland Steaks - their signature dish is steak served on a soft floured bun with peppercorn sauce and onions - yum! They also sell the famous Cumberland Sausage and Lakeland Red Onion Burgers as well as the Cumberland Hotdog. You can taste the quality!
C and C Entertainments are popular local band singing classic songs from the decades as a group, duet and solo! Not to be missed!
Joel Dickinson performs first class misdirection and sleight of hand. He is an accomplished showman with almost twenty years of full-time performing experience, throughout the UK and worldwide!
Vie's Jamaican Rum Cakes are beautiful traditional cakes infused with the finest Jamaican white rum for all to enjoy. They are fruity, flavoursome and fantastic! Gluten free options also available.
Yardies Jamaican Street Food will be providing a range of Jamaican street food including Jerk Chicken, Jerk Pork, Curry Goat and much more for everyone to enjoy!
Moon Babies sell a range of beautiful crystals, candles, handcrafted wooden shelves, round or pear-shaped glass drops plants and much more!
Dal Fiorentino are Artisan Italian street food masters! They create amazing Italian street food specialising in 'Piadina' - an authentic flat bread which can be filled with several different meats, cheeses, and vegetables from various regions of Italy finished with a choice of dressings.
