She was an iconic q***r d**e Junglist who started playing Drum and Bass in 1992, and one of the first women, the first devotees of DnB playing on the North London Underground acid techno scene. She also played an incredible vinyl only set at our first ever Q***r Rave event 🥰❤️

🌟She was an extraordinary force of love, a healer, original q***r raver, musician, activist, who radically lived in and shared her truth.

Let us rave in her name, remember and celebrate her life, as well as the lives of those q***r icons who came before us and paved the way, allowing us to be where we are today.

Caro's incredible, vibrant energy will live on eternally ❤️ In the words of Caro, PLEASURE IS MEDICINE!! ❤️

This Q***R RAVE event honours ceremony, community and the ritual of raving. On this potent open portal of Samhain and Dia De los Mu***os (The Day of the Dead), we welcome darkness and the winter season, we unite as a community and rave together to celebrate life, holding space for ecstasy while we are living, for one day we will inevitably leave this realm. Having so many threats to our lives as q***r/trans people, choosing to live loudly and vibrantly empowers us even more to choose LIFE , LOVE , ENJOYMENT AND PLEASURE OVER FEAR AND HATE.
The rave portal will be opened with a ritualistic performance art piece by Q***r Rave Icon, DJ & performance artist Ayebaitari in collaboration with the incredible, ethereal ballroom goddex, voguer and movement artist BRONZE ABLOH, and emerge into a rave with a sickkk talented AF line-up of Q***R BLACK/POC CENTRED JUNGLIST DJs, PERFORMERS and MCs throughout the night.

This week’s guest on Q***R RAVE is DJ Sexyrubbersole- an iconic q***r d**e Junglist who started playing Drum and Bass in 1992. She was one of the first women, and one of the first devotees of DnB playing on the North London Underground acid techno scene.

She will be mixing some eclectic DnB + Jungle vinyl selections, and discussing her experiences as a q***r raver, how the move into clubs /capitalism and hetero patriarchy created mono cultures out of a diverse, exciting underground rave scene, how living her formative years as a DJ/ promoter in that scene informs how she has worked/ lived with breast cancer, and given her a profound insight into hidden disabilities and the importance of adding disability awareness into the mix when creating inclusive events.

I will be bringing you a mashup of Vogue/ ballroom/ house, World/ Global Bass, Asian Underground, Jungle, DnB, Rave tunes, and high vibes!!✨🌟🛸⚡️🔥💖
