What’s a body part that you used to HATE that you grew to love or accept? For me it’s my thighs!

Growing up in the 90s & early to mid 2000s, it was not the beauty standard to have “thick” thighs. I watched Americas Next Top Model & saw gorgeous size 6/8 women like be labeled plus size & it broke something in my brain. Size 4 bombshell was labeled “jumbo Jessica”. Loving ourselves was not on the table.

I hateddd my legs. I so badly wanted twiggy legs. I used to stare in the mirror in utter self loathing. Looking back, I was probably 115-120lbs & the thought of my slightly-curvy-for-my-proportions thighs being too big is laughable and sad.

Nowadays I love my legs in all their juicy glory 💕it is my mission with for everyone who does my class to not only leave with a gorgeous painting but also with a new found sense of love and acceptance for their bodies.

Not only is April my birthday month, it’s also the 2 year anniversary of Paint Your Noodz 🎉

Throughout all the craziness of starting and running a business, trying to hot yoga my way out of the despair of dealing with copycats, the stress + actual fun that comes with launching a brand - my students keep my why alive & present in a major way.
✨
Whoever said “it’s not personal, it’s business” was not their own boss. Its personal to me when the people I teach send me messages saying my class introduced them to a love of art, helped them heal from eating d*sorders/ abus*ve relationships, etc.
✨
Some of the “bad” feels personal too. Thankfully, the joy and the good far outweigh any dark. It’s the proudest idea I’ve ever had.
✨
I’m the luckiest woman in the world to get to do what I do - thank you so much to anyone who has taken a class/ shared my posts/ been a support system. Truly grateful.

In the past 2 years, I’ve taught Paint Your Noodz classes in 4 states to hundreds of people. My biz was named “Best Art Experience” & “Best Bachelorette Activity” in the Nashville Scene’s Best of Nashville Awards. Trying to keep my progress present as I reach for more💕

Had the most beautiful introduction to teaching in LA thanks to & the squad of wild & magical women they brought together for this special event last Saturday.

Working with the Pluto cazimi, we started the night with embodiment, meditation, intention setting and cacao.
✨
Over the course of the night while I taught everyone to bring their curves to life on the canvas, we created opportunities for dance breaks and sisterhood.
✨
