These 2 cars seem to have ‘lost’ their way and are now stuck on our moor just off Rushup Edge Road . They’ve driven up Chapel Gate (a BOAT) from Edale, but motorised vehicles are not allowed - TRO in force, and mistaken the bridleway at the top for a road - easily done.
When they got stuck they obviously had a fun time dismantling our fence (between us and our neighbour farmers) and using the stakes to try and lever themselves out. Now they need to get a tow out which will mean a repeat of the above.
I’m sure the drivers meant no harm and just wanted to have a load of fun at someone else’s expense. Unfortunately for them, most moors in our area are Sites of Special Scientific Interest - SSSIs- and protected in law from wanton damage and this moor is no exception.
