Hey y’all! 🌼📸🥂🫶🏼🫧🌹

Here’s a few things about me I wanted to share:

• I grew up in East TN and where my business is based out of currently. My love for the Smokies is one of the things I really try to showcase in my work. I want your images to be able to showcase how beautiful you + your family or significant other are and showcase what a picturesque area the Great Smoky Mountains are. I feel so fortunate that my office daily is usually the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

• I’ve been a full time photographer for 4 years now and behind the camera for a total of 6 years.

• I’m married to the absolute man of my dreams. He purchased my first camera for me back in 2016 and has encouraged my career every step of the way. He’s the best!!

• I enjoy iced coffee year round, occasionally, I’ll go for a latte at Starbucks; but I’m an iced coffee gal through and through.

• I live on a 9 acre farm where we have sheep, chicken, pigs, a barn cat and 4 dogs (one working livestock guardian dog, three inside dogs). I love all of our animals so much, they keep me busy outside of work. I also enjoy vegetable and flower gardening. We grow a huge wildflower field every year for the beauty and to use for photos.

• I also really enjoy hiking, going for walks outside(I typically will go for a walk after a session, I am already in a beautiful scenic area for work, why not enjoy it with a walks afterwards?). Kayaking, weightlifting, our new sauna has become my recent obsession and I love cooking and processing what comes in from our garden in the summer.

That’s a whole lot about me, I’d love to get to know YOU a little better. Leave a little comment with a fun fact about yourself, let be friends!! ❤️❤️

Good morning, Smoky Mountain Wedding Collective! here still taking over IG this week.

Today I wanted to focus on communication. As you will find, booking a wedding, photographer is really exciting upfront, but when you’re booking a year or a year and a half in advance of your wedding, there’s a really long period of time when you won’t be in communication with your photographer. It’s just the reality of the situation.

But for me and my couples, I try to do things a little differently.

I love being able to communicate with my couple. I want to follow you guys on social media, so I can keep up with you during the season of your life, I subscribe you to my weekly email that provides photography tips, wedding planning advice, and more info about me.

As the wedding day approaches, I will send you an email three months before, six weeks before, and one month before the wedding day asking if you want to set up a zoom call to discuss the timeline or other photography questions.

Here’s my thinking, I am about to document one of the most important days of your life. I want you guys to feel comfortable having me be a part of your day, and one of the best ways to feel comfortable with me is being able to communicate with me. At the end of the day, I am here for you guys.

As I mentioned before, this week is all about experience. What is this experience going to be like to have me be a part of your wedding journey. It all starts with the first impression.

We are always told that we should not judge a book by its cover, but when you are looking for a wedding photographer, first impressions are important! How many times, if you looked at the page of Wedding Photographer and scrolled on past because of one or two photos that you didn’t like? Guilty! So when you find me on social media, I really do want to put my best foot forward. Any photo that I put forward is one that I’m proud of and want you to see! Maybe because of the incredible location, maybe because I thought the couple was, so much fun to work with, maybe I loved the dress, or the pose, or dang it… Maybe it was all those things put together in one photo. No matter what, whether you looking at my Instagram, or my website, I’m proud of what I’ve created. This is my art, this is my passion.

But if you like what you see, then we need to get the conversation started! On my website is an inquiry form. This gives me a much better idea of who you and your fiancé are, and what your vision is for the wedding day. Erin Morrison here from ! And today, let's talk about the one thing we all wish we had more of - TIME ⏰

Fall is a busy season in the Smokies. It is THE busy season. Over 14 million people visit the Smokies during the year, and I promise that half of them arrive in the fall months.

So, what does this mean for you brides? It means that you need to give yourself a lot of time. Especially if traveling through the National Park, hitting Route 411, or meandering through Gatlinburg. Because believe me, you will me-an-der 😅

When you plan your travel time, please be aware of the estimated time. And then double it. Make sure that your guests are aware of the traffic issues as well! Nothing is scarier than being behind in the Smokies, and when you add NO cell service to that, it becomes a nightmare 😱

So, no tricks this fall season! Be prepared when you hit the road to your ceremony or reception!
