To celebrate and get excited @jascha_hase produced a beautiful Aftermovie for this year’s energetic award show to @kloxii track „Path of Embers“ - the official anthem for this year’s TAG DER CLUBKULTUR - that was performed at the award show together with @jiannyuhw. Find the track now on Spotify via the link in our Bio. Take a lookback at their and other amazing performances and sets by @p.d.o.a.live, @jouanasamia & @thecompanyberlin, @guttergucci, @queensxborders, @yungfya, @nomi_dj, @acidfinky. Thanks again for fantastic speeches to the Senator for Culture and Social cohesion @Joechialo, the Board of Trustees @jubamusicldn, @heymeg10, @talhoech, @thedarvishoffical & @markreeder.mfs & moderators @kathi_son & @emiko_morgaine. The beautiful scenery that you witness in the movie was only made possible by incredible creative work: @pppanik and @lillyurbat were on design and projections mappings & @errortemporal created the most fitting sculptures to this year’s theme.
Thanks again to our partners: @berlinersparkasse, @tanqueraygin, @sekkosoziale, @rebeam_projectors, & @preussenquelle.
And last but certainly not least @musicboard and @senkultgz for helping to bring hope to Berlin’s club culture with the sustained collaboration.
For this year‘s award show we produced a film with previous years awardees to dive deeper into the significance and effects of the price. Past awardees @an8x.core @magicdykeofficial @clubgretchen @pankeculture @freak_de_lafrique @kwia.berlin @tipsy_bear_berlin @itschitsche talked to us what opportunities the award opened for them and how the culture has been developing.
A heartfelt congratulation to this years awardees and a heartfelt thank you to all the clubs and collectives that applied for the TAG DER CLUBKULTUR, as well as to everyone who made last night so special. A special thanks goes to @senkultgz, @musicboardberlin, and @berlinersparkasse – without their support, it wouldn’t have been possible to honor the following 42 awardees.
We would also like to thank our esteemed jury for this year, consisting of @jubamusicldn, @heymeg10, @talhoech, @thedarvishofficial, and @markreeder.mfs, for taking the time to carefully review all applications and select these 40 clubs and collectives.

We asked this year’s board of trustees - Juba, Meg10, Tal Se, The Darvish, and Mark Reeder - about the biggest challenges facing Berlin’s club culture and the people who keep it alive. Here’s what they had to say!
MEET OUR BOARD - introducing @jubamusicldn (she/her), who is a regular host on Berlin’s Cashmere Radio, part of the London-based collective @bokobokoldn and organiser of party series ọ́kụ́ at Berlin’s Tresor. As a child of the Nigerian diaspora, she focuses on electronic music from Africa and the African diaspora in her DJ sets. With the Assurance documentary and the accompanying podcast, Juba highlights the obstacles female DJs face on and off the dancefloor and talks about strategies to overcome these challenges. As part of this year’s board of trustees Juba will decide on the awards as part of TAG DER CLUBKULTUR together with @talhoech, @markreeder.mfs, @thedarvishofficial and @heymeg10.

MEET OUR BOARD - introducing @markreeder.mfs (he/him), who is an audio-visual all-rounder: musician, producer, DJ, filmmaker, graphic designer. He hitchhiked from Manchester to West-Berlin 45 years ago and became a legend of the underground. In 1990, he founded MFS (Masterminded For Success), the first independent electronic music label in East-Berlin after reunification, launching the careers of artists such as Ellen Allien and Paul van Dyk. As part of this year’s board of trustees Mark Reeder will decide on the awards as part of TAG DER CLUBKULTUR together with @jubamusicldn, @talhoech, @thedarvishofficial and @heymeg10.

MEET OUR BOARD - introducing The Darvish (they/them), who is a Syrian self taught dancer and event organiser all across the Berlin club scene. After arriving in Berlin in 2016, they embarked on a journey to explore gender identities and creative expression. Together with drag queen Judy Ladivina, they organise the queer party series Yalla Hafla, which celebrates Mediterranean cultures and sounds and aims to overcome prejudices against refugees, Arabs, and Jews. As part of this year’s board of trustees @thedarvishofficial will decide on the awards as part of TAG DER CLUBKULTUR together with @jubamusicldn, @talhoech, @markreeder.mfs and @heymeg10.

MEET OUR BOARD - introducing @heymeg10 (she/her), who is a Berlin-based DJ, event organiser and moderator who created Germany’s most talked-about, feminist club night: Hoe_mies. Through this, she has fostered a new generation of usually underrepresented DJ. With political openness, feminist advocacy, and a musical style, which combines Y2K hip-hop and R’n’B with electronic sounds, she has successfully set an example for a more inclusive club culture. As part of this year’s board of trustees Meg10 will decide on the awards as part of TAG DER CLUBKULTUR together with @jubamusicldn, @talhoech, @thedarvishofficial and @markreeder.mfs.

MEET THE BOARD - introducing @talhoech (she/they/them), who has worked as a bouncer at pretty much every queer party and in front of almost every club in the city. In her role as a queer, trans-femme person, she is particularly committed to safety, awareness, and inclusion in nightlife. As a booker, Tal founded the label DURCH to support queer artists and is involved in the party Ooze, which runs between Berlin and Stockholm. Tal is also involved with @sonar.berlin - Safer Nightlife Berlin to promote safe clubbing, responsible drug use and harm reduction. As part of this year’s board of trustees Tal Se will decide on the awards as part of TAG DER CLUBKULTUR together with @jubamusicldn, @markreeder.mfs, @thedarvishofficial and @heymeg10.
