Sanskar Kathak Kendra, is an institute of Kathak Dance and is a premier Dance institution of Nagpur, dedicated to promoting the practice, development and awareness of Kathak Dance as an artistic skill, as well as a component of the rich classical heritage of the nation. Established in 1998 as a constituent unit of the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya(Pune), Sanskar Kathak Kendra aims to carve highly skille

d performers of the art who are the next generation of learned Guru-s, Choreographers and above all, intelligent advocates of the artform. A talented and dedicated, Smt. Priyanka Abhyankar is the strong pillar of training at the Sanskar Kathak Kendra. At the Kendra, a classical tradition is seen as a constantly evolving body of practices, atttitudes, beliefs, skills and arts. Through its yearly programme of seminars, performances, workshops and lecture demonstrations, the Kendra endeavours to keep alive the dialogue and debate to foster this spirit of growth, diversity and evolution. The Kendra offers training from Prarambhik to Visharad Purna. The Prarambhik course offers introductory knowledge and training in the various aspects of Kathak Dance. It also equips the students with a strong foundation required to study Kathak at a professional level in the Advance courses.
