I have a weekend off! 🥳🥳
My first one since the beginning of summer. I usually try to keep the last weekend in September free so I can recuperate after a manic summer full of festivals, fun days and parties. Before preparing for the Halloween/Christmas madness!
I also have tendonitis in my painting arm😆 so looking forward to spending some quality time at home.

My dear friends, September is su***de awareness month and I want to talk to you about PMDD. I have suffered this debilitating disorder for over 20 years and there still isn’t enough awareness around it. If I can help even just one person with this post then I will be proud.
Ladies and AFAB people, if you feel like you are struggling in the luteal phase of your cycle please reach out for help.
Guys and ladies, you can be a massive support to your partner by learning about PMDD too. Please be gentle and understanding because what your partner is experiencing every month is horrific.
Employers, I urge you to learn about PMDD to be better equipped to support any staff members you have who may be experiencing it.

I have seen 5 GPs, 3 nurses and 2 gynaecologists and am still on a healing journey. I’m lucky to have a wonderful supportive partner and understanding employers who are there for me in my darkest days.

You are not a burden. You are worthy. I’m rooting for you ❤️

Another great fun day by the Stenness Community Association. We weren’t quite as lucky with the weather this time as we have been previous years but it was still a great turn out.
