Ok let's face it - the exchanging of your vows is a pretty special moment and you're more than likely to feel a little emosh! And that's fine - but you don't want to cross the line into blubbering wreck territory if you can help it!

So, once your vows have been perfected practice them out loud so that they become familiar to you and you can say them clearly and with confidence. Practicing in front of the mirror is always a good idea (you might feel a bit of a berk the first time you do this but press on!)

You don't have to memorise them (have them with you on a card or in a book on the day) but you want to be comfortable enough to say them without having to have your nose in the book reading them word for word!

Before you go to sleep regularly visualise yourself at your ceremony saying your vows with ease.

Most of all.... enjoy the moment!

Ok so I know there will be a lot to think about on the morning... and you might not think that remembering your cereal is at the top of your list of priorities but, trust me, EAT . BREAKFAST!

Depending on your ceremony time and your schedule for the day it might be hours from when you wake up to when you actually sit and eat your wedding breakfast. The time will fly by when you're getting ready with your bridal party so having something to eat could easily slip under the radar but, you will be on your feet ALOT and you might well have a sneaky Prosecco or two so the last thing thing you want is to risk passing out at the altar (probably not the vibe you're going for)!

SO, even if you have too many butterflies in your tummy to go for something really substantial then go for little and often - even if it's just a cereal bar or a piece of fruit every hour or so - make sure you eat! The same goes for water too - keep hydrated! You will thank me, I promise!

Whilst summer Saturdays are traditional wedding season don't be disheartened if the venue you've had your heart set on since you were five is fully booked...
A random Tuesday in March might not be your first choice BUT there are often deals to be done for out of peak season dates on weekday weddings.
And Autumnal / winter weddings are really lovely - think of all those beautiful rich seasonal Autumnal colours... or why not create a winter wonderland in December or January... I'm thinking mulled wine, cosy fires, mulled wine and (fake) fur trimmed accesories...
Swap the beach for the piste and have a skiing hol as your honeymoon...
Out of season weddings give your guests something lovely to look forward to too!
Happy planning!

People often stress so much about the speeches... Will I forget my words? Will I choke up? Will people be bored? Is it too long / short? Will my mother-in-law joke offend? But the speeches are arguably one of the best bits of any wedding day... so filled with emotion and stories that just give that warm fuzzy feeling. Whether you're an expeienced public speaker or not just know that everyone there is watching and listening with warmth and love and they all want to hear whatever you have to say - they won't care if you're nervous (they will expect that you probably will be) and they won't know if you forget a word here or there. So try to relax, speak from the heart and just enjoy the moment!
