Smaller than you’re used to, larger than you’re used to! It can get confusing! But why is it like this and what can you do to feel confident going into your appointment? Here’s the lowdown:
1️⃣: Wedding dress sizing often hails from traditional European sizing circa the 1940s. While street sizes have evolved, a lot of bridal sizes still like to play it old-school.
2️⃣: We’ve got global flair, with designers from all corners of the world, measuring in inches, centimeters, you name it. It’s a sizing symphony, and all designers like to go by their own book!
So, what’s do you need to know going into your appointment?
✨Sample bridal gowns are most often in a mid range size, so be prepared that the dresses you try on won’t be perfect fits, all bodies are different, but we have clips and other tools to help you envision the fit on your wedding day.
